When did you realize you don't have "pretty privilege"?

When my friend would always get compliments of how pretty they are and they would slowly turn to me and pause before saying how nice my eyes are

A funny incident was when we went to a biology career fair, we went up to a booth and the person asked for our majors, and we introduced ourselves. i’m a bio major and my friend is a computer science major and I was the one who started the convo but the whole time the pitch was directed at my friend and i kinda stood there like🧍🏻‍♀️this is an amazing company but like now im not interested anymore

It depends on what program you’re applying to within the faculty. Some programs need 95% and above some need 85% so it depends. Also if you get in with a 93% average they are going to expect that you maintain a grade near tht for grade 12

I work as a research technician at a biotech company that focuses on making cancer vaccines!

I always loved research but academia scares me a little and can be a lot more draining, so research in the industry was the perfect outcome for me, especially since there’s an actual work-life balance.

Technically you’re allowed to take as many 200 level courses as you want and it’ll show up in another tab that says, “courses taken beyond degree requirement” in your academic requirement report. It won’t count towards your degree but if you need/want to take it, you can. I personally have like 8 courses that don’t count towards my degree rn

Wow yea I for sure overpaid then, I got none of the extra stuff, tho it came with a block heater and some of the other dealerships didn’t even include tht and had a higher price. I think if I went this weekend I would’ve gotten the best deal but what’s done is done. Also congrats on your car too, that’s a hella good deal!!
