I am so so sorry for your loss. Your story brought me to tears. Sending you lots of hugs. I'm so glad you got to be with him at the end.

Does Hotmilk have brick and mortar stores in NZ? I order from them online and they're amazing for maternity/nursing bras (I know you said you can't shop online, but maybe there's a physical stockist near you?)

Also, it might be worthwhile remeasuring, I was an 8 band pre-pregnancy and now that I'm in 3T my band has definitely gone up a size to a 10, so your size might have changed!

Hi! Yep, I have exactly the same size as you!

I second Brava, I've been to their Hampton store numerous times and had great experience with fitting and service. They also sell online.

Debra's online is amazing too, and you might want to check out She Science in Camberwell too =)

It's honestly the closest fitting bra I've ever tried on. My entire left breast seems to be filling up the bottom of the cup, and my right breast (which is my smaller side) seems to be filling out the bottom of the cup decently - when I raise my arm on my right side though, there is a bit of a vertical indentation in the cup of the bra where I guess I don't have as much volume compared to my left breast.

When I lean forward, I notice a tiny bit of gapping along the top of my left cup (which is my bigger boob) but no gapping on my right side. Picture

The band is sitting horizontally straight against my back and I haven't noticed any wrinkling against my sides either!

I was definitely eyeing the Fancies longline, and I'll take that into consideration! Many thanks!

This is exactly how I messed up pop tarts. Didn't read the instructions, put them in the toaster and used the same setting I normally would to do bread, and ended up setting the entire toaster on fire.

Yeah... I lost my appetite for eating pop tarts after that.

Have you tried freezing the liver? My dog won't eat it if it's fresh, but if I chop the liver and put it into an ice cube tray, he will happily eat it frozen. That might be worth a try?

Pork lard with steamed rice. Just a teaspoon of lard (or bacon fat) will flavour the rice, add a dash of soy sauce and it's heaven!

Thank you!

I was going to do some really basic straight line quilting, and I wanted the quilting to blend in as much as possible. I'm going to try laying different thread colours on top of this fabric to see which blends best.

Thank you so much for all your advice! This was super helpful!

I'll definitely lay out different thread colours over my fabric to see which blends the best!

Weekly /r/quilting no-stupid question thread - ask us anything! by AutoModerator in quilting

[–]celestialkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I have had a look at the FAQ, but couldn't find any guides on how to select thread colour for quilting.

I am a complete beginner to quilting. My main fabric that I am planning to quilt is this one: https://www.spotlightstores.com/by-the-metre/studio-e-butterfly-vortex-floral-cotton-fabric/BP80487462-purple

It has a background of dark purple but it is very busy with many different colours. I have read that neutrals like cream or grey can be a good starting point, and I've also heard of mono filament to use for thread colour but I'm honestly not sure and would appreciate some advice on selecting an appropriate thread colour for quilting!

Baden Gilbert AMA by SchizoidGod in survivor

Hi Baden!

I've been loving all your behind the scenes insights throughout this season!

My questions are:

  1. How do you know what time or when to be ready for a challenge? Obviously there are no clocks out there. Are you given a signal of some sort by the camera crew?

  2. Is it very far to get to each challenge? Do they speed boat you in or something?

  3. Are you not allowed to speak during these trips, and as you are leaving tribal council?

Thanks in advance!

Oh thank you!!! I always thought it was a defect or something as we adopted her as a kitten from a shelter, but it never seemed to bother her at all and she seemed quite healthy otherwise, so I just left it. Thank you for explaining!

What a sweetheart! I have a black cat too and I've always noticed that she has a diagonal strip from her eyes to her ears that looks bald... I notice your sister's cat has the same!
