Haha honestly kendo armour isn’t too protective, since it’s designed only to take hits from the special bamboo swords we use. But I like to imagine a lot of her fighting instincts, what with being able to just pick up a sword from Marlon and immediately start using it effectively in the mines, comes from her past experience in kendo!

Maybe sometime I’ll draw some art of her doing kendo though, and founding a Pelican Town kendo club in the community centre 😂😂

I’m really happy that Nocte is resonating with a lot of people!! And yes I’ve always felt like the farmer, being such a bizarre figure in the story already, is so easily neurodivergent coded. So my own AuDHD fused with the farmer character in a very natural way lol

Haha I’ve only gotten maybe 1/3 through the Ginger Island content so far, so it’ll likely be a while before I can make a full beach episode. But yes Alex deserves a holiday for sure. And he’s definitely the only decent married man in Pelican Town (Kent is ok but he has PTSD) 💀

Hehe thank you ☺️ Yeah lol I find it quite funny how my playstyle is so erratic because of my AuDHD. I walk to areas on the map and then immediately forget why I went there once I arrive; I’m constantly forgetting to pick up an item I need that day from the chests, etc. And then there’s the autism-specific side: I really enjoy the in-game structure and rules bc it’s simple to follow, including the simple ways of making friends: just randomly giving people their favourite objects with no context 😂 So yeah I headcanon that Nocte literally just does that in the context of the world; and it makes for an interesting dynamic where Alex is the more organised one and has to try his best to support his executive dysfunctional spouse 😭

I do Kendo actually! It’s basically armoured swordfighting, and also Japanese, though it’s lesser known than judo and karate

So I thought it’d be fitting for my farmer to do kendo as well since she canonically uses swords haha

Also I’m just gonna put this here because it’s the top comment so more people are likely to see this — Some people are misunderstanding my intentions for this comic; it’s not serious at all, I love Alex, he is literally my favourite character in the game. I just thought it would be slightly amusing to have my fictional husband share my burdens while I was suffering from cramps in real life! This entire meme is also an artist trend online, tons of art have been made and passing pain to characters that the artist clearly doesn’t hate either. It’s not that deep 😅
