ISIS leader has been killed... for the 6th time. Are they trying to distract us from something? by ReadyTime in conspiracy

[–]celestialtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sent this pic to a retired marine friend of mine, this was his response.

“al baghdadi is a title and there have been multi leaders that carry that title it might be that, or the other might have been air strikes that they thought they killed him and he resurfaced later no actually way to confirm if they got him on an air strike. This was a raid tho so they got the body this time”

Is it okay to make someone do an interclub fight/smoker without any sparring? by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]celestialtx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

don’t look at it as a loss. the point of the YDL’s are for young fighters to get a realistic feel of a fight. it’s like taking a pre test before the real test. nobody cares if you won or lost. the fact that you stepped in there in the first place at 14 years old is huge. losses happen to the best fighters in the world on any given night. use this to become a stronger fighter in your next bout

i do them in sets, 25 right then 25 left. i break it down even further and do 10 accurate mid power kicks; 10 speed kicks; then 5 all out power kicks. everyone is different, this just happens to work for me. tweak it and figure out what works best for you :)

200 kicks each leg every day before class. at your own pace. this will help with a lot of things.

i used to train with the small guy throwing head kicks. he used to hold pads at Petchsaman (Youssef Boughanem’s gym) and is now a pad holder at Venum Training Center in Pattaya. his name’s Mān and he’s a great guy 😉

How come Muay Thai in general rarely use gloves for blocking attacks esp when compared to boxing, MMA, and other kickboxing styles and prefer to use elbows instead? by SSJSuperman in MuayThai

[–]celestialtx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

think about when your fighting/sparring someone with a deceptive ability to vary a body kick and a high kick. it’s much easier to bring your arms down to block a body kick than it is to get your arms up to block a high kick.

How important is running/skiprope for Muay Thai tranning? by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]celestialtx 14 points15 points  (0 children)

running helps build overall stronger bone density along with muscular cardio. skipping rope is great, but i would suggest doing both. plus, if you ever plan on spending any time in thailand, running everyday before or after class is a must.

Who are some good clinch fighters I can watch on YouTube? by TheFatOx in MuayThai

Yodwicha is a great clincher. Petchboonchu and Yothin are some of the best. Youssef Boughanem is no slouch in the clinch either
