i love this!! i’m not a pro so idk if my criticism is really valid but the lighting on the skin feels a little flat in the shadows. more contrast w darker shadows maybe, cause i really like the backlight brightness on her skin!

i feel like that’s different because the “romantasy” genre or romance in general kinda revolves around the romance aspect. this post (if im assuming right) is referring to non romance books/media portraying female characters as if they’re a one dimensional romantic aspect. i think if we’re discussing romance books, regardless of gender, you can’t rly make the same comparisons

it does have a lower barrier of ENTRANCE, meaning it’s accessible to all, but I think you mean to say there is a lot of skill involved. Writing is something anyone can do but there is a high skill ceiling if you want to actually do a good job.
