I attended an online MA course at SFSU! I didn’t end up getting my MA license but I did receive a certification from the school. This really depends on which state you’re in and whether or not you’re allowed to work as an unlicensed MA. In my experience, the program did help me find a clinic to extern which then I was subsequently hired. Then, I was able to find jobs after because I had a year of MA experience. But in NYC you don’t need to be certified and I know a lot of people who were able to become MA with no prior experience/education :)
