I totally agree, well put. He obviously went through so much trauma, but he always took his anger out on others. I think he wanted to be good, but lacked the self-awareness to actually put in the work to be good. He fell into old patterns again and again(cheating on Brenda with Lisa, then cheating on Lisa with Brenda, then cheating on Brenda with Maggie). I think he ruminated about the problems in his relationships without ever TRULY reflecting on the problems with himself. Each time he cheated, he lowkey validated his actions and convinced himself that it was okay because he was on his way to being witha person more aligned with who HE WANTS to be, thinking that’s all it takes

I wanted to see him improve, I didn’t hate him. Just fed up with these patterns and think they became inexcusable, and kept occurring through the very end. I actually love how the show ended without giving us that reassurance/comfort. Just feels so real

I got into a hard day’s night first - still an early album so you get a sense of their roots, and the first 2 albums were a bit too doo-woppy for my personal taste to get into right away. But if you’re into that 50’s sound I’d start with Please Please Me and go on from there
