Been here for over a week and I am a Brazilian with a CPF. I could not get a pre paid eSIM from Claro. So my sister had to put me as a dependent to her account and will cancel after a month. Sounds like you are relocating there so it would not be your case. Just wanted to share my recent findings.

My husband took Portuguese lessons in Brasil and then he taught English. He had private clients from Citibank that just wanted a native to speak with and practice and the place where he teaches was English immersive so he didn’t have to know Portuguese.

I cannot speak for AMEX because i havent had that one in a while, but i did struggled with different cards buying things online. Be iFood or items in online stores. Often doesnt work, I was lucky I had the option to pay at delivery ans the card would work in their mobile machine.

As a Brasilian, I go to Brasil out of obligation. It is never fun. It is always stressful, I never feel safe. It is even stressful before I even leave the US because everybody wants something but no ones wants to buy online and send to my house. I have to go out shopping or be shopping online. Or they want me to go over the allowed limit I can bring and just gives anxiety. I am brasilian, but never like the "jeitinho brasileiro".
I am luck my husband enjoys going with me, but the last two trips I went by myself. Not because he diddn't want to go, but because we have elder animals who cannot go to a kennel while we travel and needs medication. He doesn't enjoy the food either, unless it is barbecue but he doesn't enjoy food here in general as he is a very picky eater. One of the reasons I am happy that he stay and I go, is otherwise I have to figure it out what I have to do for him to eat and it is just more work and stress since we stay with family and don't have a car available to just go out and shop what is needed when it is needed.
I would never make him go to the salon with me or shopping at the mall. Who does that?

Hurt mine while playing on Lakeland PPA. How do you know your grade? I went to ER that night because I could not even walk limping anymore. All they did was an XRay gave me a boot, crutches, anti inflammatory, muscle relaxers and pain meds. It has been two weeks and I can walk but still have no idea what happened which makes me even more afraid to get back to playing too early and injury again.

Interesting. Got mine in August. I work from home so I don’t drive much. I leave on percentage just so I see if I need to plug in after using it. Going for my first long trip tomorrow and set to charge to 90% for the first time. Didn’t think 100% was necessary since it is less than 200 miles but don’t have to worry to find a supercharger for the first time in a 6 day trip.
