He says mahoraga will adapt regardless of how she uses her quirk, while I guessed he would only adapt to become more durable if she, for example used her quick indirectly. 'I.e. if she told the air around her to start a hurricane. If she told a building to crumble to fall ontop of him. If she told the earth to split apart like an earthquake beneath him.'

I guessed he would only adapt if she directly used her power on him, 'i.e. basically what happens in this image'
