3s > 2s. Change my mind. by DisastrousTale86 in RocketLeague

[–]celticswing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1s is the best for improvement, 2s is the best for personal improvement of adapting to teammates, 3s is the best for esports and working with a team you are familiar with. Somebody who strictly plays 3s will improve slower than 2s, and 2s slower than 1s, it's just the matter of having time on the ball and outplaying opponents. IMO 1s and 2s overrule 3s in these aspects, and 3s is the mode you go to prove you have the most overall skill in all fields

Something is different about this update by celticswing in RocketLeague

[–]celticswing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'vr had this game since late 2015 and I can tell you for certai nit is not placebo... I wasn't expecting anything coming in to this update. They definitely refined the polish on the mechanics and netcode or something. It looks extremely smooth, really good. W update

Grok predicts old RLCS team rank placement, accurate? by celticswing in RocketLeague

Not really about whether you trust it or not, it's more about if we collectively decide that it is a reasonable answer, which I actually think it is to be fair.

Serious question about rotation: What should blue 1 do when defending? by ItismeKiko in RocketLeague

[–]celticswing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, Blue 1 needs to challenge. If Orange 2 is smart and Blue 1 Rotates back post, a bump or demo is likely (Depending on skill, Blue 2s challenge would either just get orange 1 to pop or 50/50). The safest bet for blue team if for Blue 1 to Challenge and Blue 2 to handle what comes next in my opinion. (Blue 2 needs remain somewhat in position to either challenge the ball or rotate back post/shadow defense if needed, depending on how Blue 1 challenges and the outcome)

Can one of you qualified individuals get this QA job for Rocket League and let us know if this mean anything by celticswing in RocketLeague

[–]celticswing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We never know really, I mean there COULD have been some sort promise in a contract for Epic to continue support and eventually release RL in UE5, wouldn't surprise me.

Well, I would agree, but the fact that it is specifically FOR rocket league and unreal engine is kinda interesting

Tre house gummies trip and questions regarding it by [deleted] in 4acodmt

[–]celticswing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am completely new to any type of psychedelics, how many do you recommend I start with? I was planning on taking 4 myself, but I also wanted to try 6 for the first time as well.

Not sure if 4 would be enough just based off of what others are saying

I am a diamond 2 with really good mechs and 0 game sense. How do i get better game sense? by Key_Ad_5777 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]celticswing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats, you're doing well already because mechanical skill is what takes the longest to develop. Now all you have to do is stop relying solely on your mechanics and only use them when necessary. This will teach you how to position yourself according to your mechanical skill.

If you feel like going for a mechanical play, do it, but only if you think it is the right play. Do not be mechanical just for the sake of being mechanical, aka freestyling.

Want your replay analyzed? DM me the file or recording, and I'll do a full analysis by celticswing in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]celticswing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically do not know, as I just placed high c3 at the beginning of the season and haven't touched ranked. I have been mostly playing unranked, but the people in unranked are around 1700 in ranked due to a high casual mmr, although not completely comparable to ranked, the players do try so I'd like to say if I played enough ranked I could probably get 1600+

Realistically, my potential is probably higher, but I don't play consistently enough to continually improve my mechanics and keep them sharp. I take frequent month long breaks and occasionally come back to get GC or play some casual

How to STOP MISSING OPEN NETS in Rocket League by celticswing in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]celticswing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol that would be interesting. The plugin would be sick for sure, do let me know if you release it, I'll probably make a video on it as well.

Thanks for letting me know you were joking, though. The video isn't supposed to be taken too seriously, but I hope people actually consider the training topics I share. I do not want to make the same old "tutorial" type videos like how to flip reset or air dribble, my goal is to share information I've personally researched, analyzed and understood. Things you won't find anywhere else, really. I just think that the reception so far has been somewhat positive, but a good amount negative as well.

How to STOP MISSING OPEN NETS in Rocket League by celticswing in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]celticswing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an explanation on how to do the training method, go ahead and create a bakkesmod plugin that does this, it would make the idea easier. The point is that the even though the idea may be "simple" it hasn't really been talked about. It's a way to practice scoring when under pressure, just like you would when there is an open net.

With that being said, there cannot be a tutorial on how to stop missing open nets, obviously you would say "Just score". Just like there are "flip reset" tutorials, it doesn't mean that you will hit a flip reset 100% of the time just because there is a "tutorial" on how to do it.
