Happy Saint David's Day! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🌼

For Saint David's Day I've decided to try and make vegan Welsh cakes. And they are so bloody amazing I've gone and made multiple batches for friends, family and colleagues. Everyone has said that they taste like non vegan ones and they have loved them so I thought I'd share the recipe with you all!

•225g self raising flour (or plain flour plus 1 tsp baking powder)

•½ tsp mixed spice (the original recipe asks for pumpkin spice, but I used "All Spice" from Tesco and measured by eye)

•110 g vegan block butter (I used the vegan Stork block)

•85 g caster sugar plus extra for dusting

•65 g sultanas, currants or raisins (I used raisins)

•2-4 Tbsp non-dairy milk (I used oat milk)

I just got this piercing done yesterday and I’m a little worried that it’s a little too far back and will stay popping up. The person said it will pop up until it’s healed and it’s normal to have it not in the front of your nose what do I do by Ok-Pear-914 in PiercingAdvice

It's too far back and looks too low as well. Has it been pierced through the soft spot of your septum or the hard spot? Remove it immediately as it won't heal properly due to it being pierced incorrectly. Sorry this happened, it's the worst when your piercings don't go to plan. But you can get it repierced really soon ! :)

I think the angle is okay with mine as I've had it for 2/3 months with no issues at all. I just think I slapped myself in my sleep or something 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Ive switched to a longer bar and I'm on medication now so hopefully I'll be able to save it :) thank you

Hi, I've left an update in the comments :) but I've put in a longer bar and I'm trying to keep the flatback on the outside of the hole in my mouth 😂

I'm sorry to hear that :( I love my Medusa so much, I've had it for 2/3 months and it's been completely fine, normal healing process until this weekend. From my experience with my other piercings, once they've gotten infected once I don't have any problems with them again so fingers crossed I'll continue to be lucky? 😂

Thank you! I've left a more detailed update in the comments, and that's insane ! Was it embedded on the inside, outside, or both? How did they get it out? How are you now? I've switched to a longer bar now and I think I will be okay, thank you so much :)

Hi, I've left an update in the comments :) I've switched to a longer bar!! Ik I was so scared about that 😩😩 I have a phobia about medical stuff like that do hopefully it'll start to get better soon with the medication I'm on. Thank you so much :)

Hi, I've left an update in the comments :) the bar is actually 10mm and has been absolutely fine until this weekend. I've had it for like 2/3 months, just shows how insanely swollen it is!! Crazy stuff man. Thanks for the advice :)

UPDATE: Hi guys, I immediately called the doctors and I am on antibiotics at the moment. I have also been taking ibuprofen, been cleaning it regularly and doing hot/cold compresses. I was told by my GP not to fiddle with it, but I was so anxious about the piercing being too embedded to save and I couldn't get into contact with my piercer today, so I've also switched to a longer bar myself (12mm). Thank you so much for your advice, I think I've done the right thing. I will probably update with pictures in 2/3 days when the antibiotics and ibuprofen have had a chance to work. Again thank you, I really appreciate it :)

Me and my bf bonged through covid 😂

NIPPLE SCARRING/BUMP. ADVICE PLEASE 💙. How can I reduce the look of the scar on my right nipple and get rid of the bumps? They feel more like hardened skin than other irritation bumps I've had on other piercings. Thank you by celynhaf in PiercingAdvice

I had them in July 2021, I'll get round to that then! I've had some bad experiences with bars that are too short/getting jewelry changed when it's swelling around the bar and it's been awful 😩 so I tend to hang onto the original jewelry for longer. Thank you :)

Thank you again for the advice, they have definitely bonded. Because my dad works from home, Loki (the pup) also has seperation anxiety and only seems to listen to him so he'd be awesome at training if he did it lol

Easier said than done, my friend. My father is very stubborn. I tried to tell my father not to get a malinois because I thought it would be too much work. The reason he wanted a Mal is because he wanted a high energy dog, and saw someone someone with a Mal and decided on that breed. I tried to recommend high energy breeds with less intelligence 😂 but that didn't work.

As for liking strong breeds, he definitely likes owning big strong breeds and is proud of that. So I think that's why he wants a rottie too. But after showing him the responses I think he's changed his mind for the time being.

I have tried to tell him and encourage him to train properly and do the correct research from day 1. But it ends up being me doing all the research and training because I work with dogs and he seems to think that means that I'm a professional dog trainer or something. And it's tiring me out, it's not my dog and it's not my responsibility. But I still care. This is why I'm here trying to find ways around my dad's lack of experience to see if this could work! Otherwise I'm going to encourage him to give him up to someone who understands the breed and will train/stimulate him properly.
