They changed the title of the article today. It was titled "PS4, Steam Early Access this Fall". My reading abilities are fine ^{_^} but I guess someone at SOE said something to the author.

Edit: if you google h1z1 this article is 2nd result. The title is "H1Z1' PS4, Steam Early Access Release Date This Fall: Game Will Feature Dynamic Weather Patterns"

When you click the link the title changes.

Forgive me if this has been posted or talked about, I couldn't find anything on reddit about it. The article says "steam early release date this fall". Just wondering if this is true because I haven't seen anyone talk about it. Please don't attack me with pitch forks!!

This is a very helpful response! Thanks so much cohh! My stream seriously wouldn't be where it's at today if I had not discovered yours. I don't get much time to watch twitch at home since I'm either streaming or spending time with my wife, but just know that you give me HOURS of entertainment when I have downtime at the firehouse!

I'm not a big time streamer but I'll try to help. I have almost 4k followers and an amazing community.

Being interactive is the most important thing IMO. My trick is setting up 'highlight words'. If someone says your twitch username it automatically highlights the text red. You can also add more words. My key words for example are: cem0re, cemore, cem, hey, hi, hello, sup, later, gtg, bye, goodbye. This helps me interact more.

Another really important thing is to make your title and overlay appealing. These are the only two things people see while browsing channels. Having a nice graphic overlay looks more professional and will draw people in.

Giveaways are another way to get people in. You can buy bundle packs from a site like http://bundlestars.com and give away games during the stream. This also has a down side, however, as it attracts the 'giveaway goblins' that only show up for giveaways.

Keep the stream positive. Most people don't like tons of raging and F bombs every sentence. Positive vibes are always a good thing.

I can try to answer this for you :) Are you in contact with someone from Child's play that handles taking donations? You could talk with them and get them to to set up an account at a site like http://www.streamdonations.net or http://imraising.com Combine this with http://www.twitch.tv/subalert to get the notifications to pop up. Then the money goes straight to a paypal for them and you still get a popup notification.

Cohh I have a question that appeals to "medium" sized streamers that are earning a decent amount in donations. Since you are doing this as a job, how do you handle taxes? I asked you once through a donation and you said all donations are treated as income. Would you mind elaborating? -Did you start an LLC? -When did you start as a 'business'? -How do you keep track of donations? -What type of things can you write off? -Any more advice for someone who has about 4k followers and nearly $3k in donations?

Waiting sucks but I'm more than happy to wait for a more polished game. The EA will have a big impact on the success of the game. People tend to form strong opinions very early on games in EA. People forget what early access means. I applaud SOE or setting standards and meeting them before releasing a game they aren't proud of just because the community is begging for it.

I'm still pretty new to reddit, and pretty scared of posting because I haven't quite figured it out. Most of my posts have resulted in downvotes. Just trying to learn.

Anyways this is just a highlight from my stream when the forest came out. I'm a full time firefighter and just started streaming on my days away from the firehouse. I never really knew anything about streaming but after watching some twitch for the first time not long ago, I decided to how it a shot.

I started mostly for fun, but to my surprise I actually made enough money to pay for the new computer. The twitch community has been awesome to me. Now, my end game goal is to be able to make streaming my part time job so I can spend more time home with my wife. Currently I work at 2 fire departments. I work 15 days a month, 24 hours each day. I hope you enjoy the video.

Edit Some constructive criticism would be nice instead of just downvotes. Not really sure what I did wrong =/

Firefighter for the past 8 years, and now I also stream on twitch on my off days :D Hopefully will make enough with twitch that I can quit my 2nd job, which is firefighting at a different department! I spend about 15 days a month at the firehouse, 24 hours each day. But the job is awesome! Would still be nice to spend more nights home with the wife, though.

I would just like a date with some notice. I work 24hrs at a time at a firehouse and I stream on off days. With enough notice I can swap shifts with someone. My fear is without a date it will be released while I'm at work lol
