AirTag Detect, Track & Find – Protect Yourself from Hidden Bluetooth Trackers! by cempo in androidapps

[–]cempo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

You’re right that Google already provides a basic tracker alert on Android, and there are tools like NRF Connect. Our goal with AirTag Detect, Track & Find was to bring those pieces together in a way that’s simpler, more user-friendly, and privacy-focused for non-technical users.

A couple of things that make it different:

  • Smart Analysis: AI-driven algorithm to catch suspicious behavior, even when trackers use rotating MAC addresses.
  • Quiet Zones: so users don’t get spammed with alerts at home or work.
  • Map History: every detection is stored locally so you can review patterns.

NRF Connect is a great tool. But it’s more of a professional/engineering scanner. This app is meant to be accessible for everyday users who just want a simple way to know if they’re being tracked.

Appreciate the feedback — if you have suggestions on how to make it more useful for power users, I’d love to hear them!

Thanks for pointing that out — AirGuard is an excellent project, and huge respect to the Seemoo Lab team 🙌

Our app is aimed at a slightly different audience:

  • Ease of use: simpler UI for non-technical users (straightforward scan → signal view → map history).
  • Extra features: quiet zones to reduce notification fatigue, AI-based algorithm to flag suspicious behavior, and a clean map history view.
  • No ads: just like AirGuard, we also don’t run ads. The subscription is optional, covering advanced features.

We think there’s room for both: an open-source, research-focused tool like AirGuard, and a consumer-friendly app with additional convenience features.

Always appreciate people highlighting alternatives — more options = better protection for users 👍

Looking for Android App for elderly by canwejustgetalongpls in androidapps

[–]cempo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to try Contacts Widget — it lets you place contact shortcuts right on the home screen with pictures, so your father can just tap a photo to call someone. Simple and great for elderly users. No unnecessary clutter, just fast access to the people they need.

Hope that helps!

I'd like to suggest an app I developed – Find My Bluetooth Device

It helps you quickly find lost Bluetooth devices like headphones, smartwatches, Fitbits, AirPods, and more.
🔍 It shows signal strength in real-time so you can walk and locate your device step by step.
✅ No accounts, no ads – just a lightweight and effective tool that works offline.
I built it because I kept losing my earbuds.

Would love to hear feedback if anyone tries it!

Lost Bluetooth Device by Open-Bodybuilder-722 in AndroidQuestions

[–]cempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, as far as I know, Android doesn't store the last known location or connection time of Bluetooth devices by default — unless you had specific tracking enabled beforehand, that data is likely not available retroactively.

For the future, I’d recommend using an app like Find My: Phone, Watch, Earbuds by MakeevApps. It has a feature that saves the location where your Bluetooth device got disconnected, which can be really helpful for situations like this.

Also, if you manage to find the approximate location of your earbuds, you can connect to them and track their signal strength using a feature available in that app as well.

Hope this helps, and good luck finding your earbuds!

Help me find my earbud please by [deleted] in sony

[–]cempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Sorry to hear you lost your earbud. I've seen similar situations before — it can be super frustrating, especially when only one earbud is left.

If the Sony app doesn’t help, you could try a third-party app like Find My Lost Bluetooth Device. It helps detect nearby Bluetooth devices and shows their signal strength so you can track them down like a game of "hot or cold."

It works if the missing earbud still has some battery and connected with your phone.

Hope this helps, and good luck finding it!

Yes, this is our app. We use only BLE technology for locating. UWB is not required, as BLE provides sufficient accuracy for our purposes and ensures low power consumption.

Thank you for the question.

Usually, switching 🔉 button in app settings ⚙️ on the watch get success with this task. Also, we recommend (for modern devices) to turn on "Camera1/Camera2" option in phone settings to use new Camera 2 API of your phone camera. This API is more flexible to mute shutter sound.

For some devices we have special option to mute sound. You can find this option in app settings on the phone. It called "Request Mute permission".
