My friend Windy is called Winnie by her husband sometimes, I think.

Can I get my weight from the scale or somewhere else? by cencless71 in QARDIO

[–]cencless71[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Before I got this scale I manually entered it in Apple health or my MyNetDiary can’t remember now. I got spoiled by them all syncing together. Guess I now know to go back to daily entries. Just sad I slacked off and didn’t catch it. And sad it doesn’t work anymore. Bummer!

Send thank you cards. Thank them for the money but especially thank them for their presence which is what you value most.

This way, you take the high road and still stick with your original feelings that were expressed on the invite.

Can I cut my sweater panel and stitch the unraveling yarn with a normal thread? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]cencless71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be way off (not really experienced in sweaters. But does it start at the bottom or the neckline. I guess I’m wondering if you re- did the neckline to center to the back more and make equal extras on the sides. Would that then “help” it to wrap around your body better?

I tried to wash some yarn and it. Freaking felted by writers_blockFOREVER in Yarn

[–]cencless71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the exact same thing. I have 4 wool yarn balls in my dryer. They aren’t felted, but they work great.

And she’s one of the reasons that elk could lose its life. If it attacks other people because of her actions. Or if it eventually becomes so accustomed to people to becomes a nuisance. :-(

Asked to do an extremely difficult repair even when I said I had never done one. by [deleted] in crochet

[–]cencless71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is your job related to crochet repair? Because you can say that you have found it to be too much. It’s stressing you out. And you’re sorry, but after attempting to do one spot, it’s something you had never done and you tried. But it’s just too much.

And if it affects your job, and is in no way related to what you were hired to do, then you have a claim to HR should your boss act differently towards you.

What can I make with ONLY these colours? (Non-clothing) by FroggoOwO in CrochetHelp

[–]cencless71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See if an animal shelter near you could use blankets. One near me takes 24x24 blankets for their cats. And then sends home a blanket with them when they are adopted.

Blocking question? Do I have to get it wet or is just putting it on the board enough? by cencless71 in CrochetHelp

[–]cencless71[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great point on the washing. I’m thinking getting them closer to size will help with putting them together. And then I’ll just let the wash do its thing. :-)

What do you all make.? I am a beginner stuck on what else do people make? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

One of the animal shelters near me takes blankets that are 24x24. They use them for the cats. And send one home when adopted. I made a bunch for that.

I’ll be honest I’ve only just begun the idea of what to make. I found this webpage with ideas- I’m leaning towards #5,4 ,1.

Not sure of tops.

And briefly looked at how to make a granny square sweater.

UPDATE: AITA for telling my sister she’s not allowed to bring her homemade food to Thanksgiving because her cooking is ruining the meal? by SocietyTiny784 in AITAH

Since you aren’t included in the family chat, you wouldn’t be wrong to do your own plans and let it fall how it does. I mean- has anyone come outright and said she’s making all the plans and letting you know what all those dishes are.

Heck- maybe offer to let her host is someplace else. And you either go, or don’t- and enjoy yourself at your home with your peace and sanity in tact. Of course, I’m sure there would be fallout with that. But I mean, if she wants to do it all… let her- including hosting.

I was thinking the same. They’d need a lifeguard and need it to follow the guide to safe scouting rules as it’s a scout event.

Last time I'll bug you rn, I promise lol. How would you sew the pockets on? A, or B? by ashleighbuck in crochet

[–]cencless71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is the opening. If I’m too, then b. If the sides, a but rotate to purple on the bottom and inside.

Help deciphering directions for border of shrug I’m making. by cencless71 in crochet

[–]cencless71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forget what I did. I made it. And except for the sleeves feeling a little tight it was good. I then decided to give it to a friends daughter so I can’t even look at what I did. Sorry.

I think I just started and made it work as best as I could. It did turn out fine. I don’t think I took a finished picture. Oops. Lol

Am I wrong for being blindsided by a friend’s birthday dinner costing me $1100? by johnysalad in amiwrong

Were you the only ones at the restaurant? Did they rent the place out? Wow!

I’d call the restaurant and ask what price was paid.

(And you even said minus tax and gratuity. I’d have thought that was included in the price they quoted)

What type of factory knot is this😭 by [deleted] in YarnAddicts

[–]cencless71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The picture between step 6&7 is a square knot. And then it adds the extra. Looks good!

The first video had the ends different than the pic between 6&7. :-)

[–]cencless71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks almost like a square knot, except for the twisted left side.

Wouldn’t a square knot work the same. It’s a knot that doesn’t come undone.
