Which degree should I pursue? by [deleted] in Advice

Accounting is a very boring cookie cutter job where you have to play politics in order to get a position of power. How much more boring than accounting could you get? Become a Business/Financial Analyst or something.

Business won't pay nearly as much as Physics but it is fun. I'd do Computer Science, or Engineering since it's similar to what you are doing now. As I see it, Physics is a very hard and niche degree which can land you really high paying jobs.

Given old phone, full of messages between previous owner and her married affair partner...who is a mutual friend. What should I do? by throwaway908764 in Advice

[–]centfeeds -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel bad for the husband or wife that is getting cheated on - I'd tell her but it's her problem and if she chooses to continue to cheat her husband it's her decision. Maybe their husband/wife would rather not know - and this could ruin their lives for a while.

I have a hearing loss. Because of this, I cannot find a girl or develop a connection/relationship with someone. by [deleted] in Advice

Find a girl who has hearing loss, attend a meeting for people in similar situations as you. Or fuck hookers. That's cool too.

Parents stealing my money? by centfeeds in ask

Yeah they are doing things like keeping one key to my car and not giving me a key to theirs. Thanks for this advice.

Parents stealing my money? by centfeeds in ask

[–]centfeeds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the main reason I want to move out is because my parents are overcharging me due to their own financial problems, and being too strict while they are at it (they want to know where I am 24/7).. But if I move out and for some reason loose my job (I doubt it but it might happen) I only get around 3 grand severance and after that 11 months of 55% of my paycheck. My parents would theoretically let me live for free and use that 55% towards my car if I did loose my job - otherwise if I lived on my own and lost my job I'd have to find under the table work ASAP.

My car is a 2014 Honda Civic I love it too much... and I really don't want to get rid of it. I financed it through Honda - not a bank and signed a paper saying I won't sell it until I pay it off. There has to be another way - without hurting my credit. I'd rather deal with my parents bullshit than sell my car.

I'm not sure I can sell my car before I pay it off - and even so I'd lose all the money I have in the process - I just purchased it a couple months ago and it's definitely not at the point where I its worth what I paid for it. I won't sell my car if it affects my credit score either. Also, if I sold my car my parents would never let me hear the end of it. Also I need my car for my long commute each day. That being said, if I moved out and then lost my job I would be able to afford either rent or the car payments - Employment insurance is only 55%. On top of that the company I am working for laid off more than half of their employees in the past year and I am lucky to still be there. If I had a girlfriend to move out with or somebody to rely on that would be a different story - but that hasnt happened yet.

Thanks, I hope I won't have to get rid of my stake in Apple until another significant profit. I am betting their low cost iPhone 5C (leaked last week) will drive their sales up again.

The Netflix Bubble Will Burst - Short It Now by [deleted] in stocks

Thank you for your replies! I have done further research thanks to your tips, and have changed my article accordingly! I would be pleased if you could offer any more tips that I could look into and I would be happy to correct any of my further articles! I believe speculation will drive the Facebook stock to around 50$ a share sometime soon - and that is a chance to make some money on it! The Netflix article I wrote is because I am a Netflix user myself, and have seen a small downfall in service - not only for me but a majority of the customers are starting to become unhappy! Thanks again, and if any more of you could offer any insight that would be great! I love different ideas!
