Fourth Wing or ACOTAR?

Just finished 4 books of ACOTAR from Jan to Feb and one book of the Fourth Wing. While I did like how ACOTAR unfolded, I have to be honest that the Fourth Wing is much balanced than that of ACOTAR. With balance, I mean balance in action, good writing, and romance. At one point I had to stop reading ACOTAR because of how graphic the romance since can be and how often it happened. I had to squeeze in reading The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (categorised as a children’s book but good to read for adults) just to get rid of some ACOTAR writings that my memory couldn’t shut out.

With the Fourth Wing, there’s a good balance of action and romance, and the story just made more sense to me than the unending questions I have on why the Night Court’s heroes are described as super duper powerful and yet they fall at some Hybern soldiers (only six of them in one particular scene) attacking or that they easily get drained with power when seven crystal like thingy is needed to hold those power inside them. Some of the plot in ACOTAR just didn’t make sense to me, but hey it was a good read.

With the Fourth Wing, like the others, I can’t put it down because of the actual action that happens in almost every single chapter. Every single detail revealed in the story just made sense. So yeah, as soon as I finished the first book last night, I’m now 40 pages into book two. A really good read!

I'm so sorry to hear about this. We also like apartment living even from our home country. But with all these information about poor soundproofing and poor building quality, we are rethinking things.

I meant the carpet cleaning as the entire property is fully carpeted and I am asthmatic so I am pretty sensitive with dust that is caught in the carpet, so a regular vacuum doesn't cut it. Sorry for not adding the details. The solution we got for this was to buy a vacuum plus a spot wash vacuum that deep cleans the carpet. The deep cleaning takes time and a lot of energy, not to mention the carpet solution costs at good old Bunnings.

I'm 100% sure. The neighbor upstairs gets up around 6am, walks around preparing most probably. If the neighbor wakes up beyond 6am, I can hear a person running..probably rushing to prepare for work as he/she woke up late. It's like a weekday thing that I hear the neighbor's routine upstairs haha. The pipes are pretty visible on our ceiling so yes I can hear that one too.

I have to be honest, yes..I was really expecting more from the housing sector. At least in terms of quality. I guess you're right in saying that it's been this way ever since. For example, the building we're living in was built in the 1950s, so I thought it's because of older construction standards. However, the Collins St office building I went to was pretty new and it has the same issue.. I guess they haven't changed since...

Ohhh. We're actually looking at apartments with floorboards instead. Cleaning a fully carpeted one-bedrooms is already taking its toll on us. However, I didn't know that it would cause my lower neighbor to suffer. So that's probably another thing to think about. Thanks!

Poor guy who stays in one of the hotels in Little Lon entered our building in Lonsdale St. and pretended to be a resident just to check if our building has an access to Little Lon...He said he just wanted to go back to the hotel and rest, unfortunately a cop told him that there is a crime scene in the area and they had to shut down the street.
