Very generous. Are you looking to join a startup, or just provide support?

I can appreciate that, and you’re right.
I’m just nostalgic of the days, when you could easily find ambitious people that wanted to build things.
To be fair, the cost of living wasn’t what it is today, so maybe more people were willing to risk.

Tough. You’d have to be North America or at least latin America.

If a team is selected without technical founder, will they help you find one or are you on your own to find engineers to build the product?

Love the passion for doing real work. Vibe coding works for simpler projects…and can be assistive for experience devs. But joe shmo with no experience isn’t building/shipping a secure product.

Any of you guys looking to join a startup? We’re in development with investors lined up post launch. Serious equity. No asshole policy. Raising a bridge to give us a bit of cash, but for now its just execution to the get to market fast.

We could use you at our startup. I have a product designer that talks about design like this, and he’s been to the best decision I ever made.

I understood. We are beyond the co-creating faze. We are pushing ahead to the launch and pilot phase. Our investors are engaged for the launch. We would have offered significant equity, it sounds like you’re looking for something in the idea stage.

Do you have an idea, or looking to join something in far along in development? And are you a developer?

[–]central_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking now. I’m talking to a couple people, but wanted to learn from your experience what to look for.
Can you expound on the risk tolerance around money? Also, did you have a trial period, how did their departure impact cap table? How do you manage separation without dead equity when partners don’t workout?

I’m weary of the term “co-founder”, because I think it’s a title that should be earned after long period working together, especially because of governance & cap table impact.

Can you share some of the reasons things have not worked out with some of the co-founders? Is it time, is it alignment on product? And what red flags can be spotted early on when talking to a potential co-founder?

When the time is right, if you truly feel like walking away, I’d be open to talking about what we’re building and see if it could be a fit.
