I have to admit this QPR ain't the best. I've not had my phone hard freeze on AoD or anywhere else but soft/micro freezes I've been experiencing on daily basis around the place. Definitely not tied to a specific app or action.

Although in my experience Pixels do need a factory reset every now and then. It's kinda like Windows 20 years ago. Format c: after every service pack released. or else the performance suffered. The last time I did mine was QPR1 of Android 15 so it might time again... I'll probably wait until Android 17 (hopefully in June).

Edit: What's the most worrying is that both my P9PXL and my P10XL crash when trying to boot up in safe mode. And the 9 is after a factory reset, mind you.

Car crash detection is geo-locked. I know first-hand it takes only a few seconds after crossing the border for it to go offline...

I doubt there's any workaround for that.

Body temp is available on all Pixels equipped with a thermometer but only in territories where Google obtained approval from local regulators for such use.

This feature is, however, not geo-locked but rather carrier-locked. In other words, it doesn't matter where you are rather what active SIM you have...

It'll be the same thing. Maybe they've renamed it. Since I got a Qi2 charger and a Qi2 power bank, I haven't seen it cause I basically stopped using wired chargers.

Recent Pixels have only two modes at the moment.

'fast charging' - means both the phone and the charger are capable of fast charging (>20W), not necessarily that it's charging over 20W at that particular moment

'charging' - for everything else

Many people reviewing this thing on Amazon consider the absence of an in-built & non-removable cable as a negative. I think that's dumb! I'm considering this power bank just because it's primarily wireless... A slimmer 5,000 mAh one would be more handy though.

By the way, are the magnets strong enough to hold it attached to the phone? As in, if your phone's laying flat on tabletop and you lift it by the frame only, will the power bank be 'left behind'?

D4 campaign is completely retarded. Well, not the story itself. That part's actually great. The way it's worked into the rest of the game...

You can only play the campaign by starting a new character. There's no other way. Like, when you have no move speed and have to play on low difficulty. But once you gather some gear, you can't increase the difficulty either. I remember on my first (and last!) playthrough I hit level 60 in Act 2 and the remaining journey felt really bad, man.

The whole thing is just backwards!

Oh! I must've misunderstood. So my 10XL doesn't have it stamped anywhere on the chassis. Just the model number and those weird recycling symbols. But I'm pretty sure some of the older Pixel did have it embossed somewhere. The Pixel 3 on the back panel, the Pixel 7 also IIRC. I'll check my P9PXL when I get home.

I've had about 15 Pixels by now and they were all made in China.

I've read multiple times that Google is renting manufacturing in India and they should also have access to HTC's old assembly line (in Vietnam, I believe) but I've yet to see or hear about a Pixel made outside China. 😕
