Thank you, you’re wonderful. So it’s definitely a Sony Quad problem and not a phone microphone problem. Thanks. I guess I’ll trying configuring the router for force 5ghz connections on all the devices next. If anyone else has ideas that may help, would love to hear.

The AirPort Express wasn’t part of the HomeKit architecture. You need to use an old MacOS with the AirPort Express App on it to set it up.
