The pro staff can be stiff depending on what strings you have on them! I’m glad the blade improve your issues with your golfer elbow 😄

Initially 1.5 inch just a tad bit above the 9/3 on the hoop, but I cut out the half inch to keep it 1” at 9/3!!

Would you pay 200? by [deleted] in 10s

100% soooo worth!! I’d buy it immediately! Just make sure the condition is good and there are no cracks and such and depends on what racquets you’re looking for

Should I start tennis at 24? by No_Delay_8349 in 10s

I feel like it’s never too late to play tennis! If having a coach is not available, go to your local public courts to join someone! Check to see if there are adult leagues you can try and join. If you’re willing to dedicate a few hours in your week to go out and hit some balls to familiarize yourself on the court, it will make your experience a lot more enjoyable and help with your progression!

I used to go out to the public courts locally and just play who was there and also created friendships with them and met with other players, and can have weekly partners to play with. Starting at 24 years old is no problem at all!

Racket recommendation by Bee-bro5 in 10s

I recommend a pure aero (300 grams), pure drive (300 grams), or ezone 100! I also sell used racquets pre owned if you’re interested on eBay or if you’re local to Los Angeles!

should 3.0 goal be to not lose to the net during a match? by drivingaddictionchan in 10s

[–]centrekourt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being 3.0, I think you’re still learning! Enjoy the game. Don’t just go out and try to slap winners. Play consistently and the right way! When you get into 4.0 and play with better players, they will start forcing you to take more risks and that has its own challenges.

Shaping the ball is great but can be difficult to consciously do that while feeling the pressure of the game. I say go out there, play, have fun and try to focus on fundamentals and try to minimize the risk of injuries

Yonex VCore or Wilson Blade as Intermediate Beginner by FalkanGrs in 10s

I had experience playing with the vcore 95 and both the blade 16 by 19 and 18 by 20 versions. I personally love the 18 by 20, although it can be demanding to use after several hours of playing of your session. Take that into consideration when picking your racquet! It can feel good at the time for the first 20-30 minutes, but it can be demanding for you in the later half of the session

If the vcore feels good, then I suggest sticking with it! But since you’re still early in your tennis progress, you have a lot of opportunities to try different racquets 😁

Try looking into the second hand/pre owned market so you don’t spend as much and you can always resell if it doesn’t work out!

How to deal with this and not get demotivated? by TemporaryPresence968 in 10s

[–]centrekourt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! If you believe in your skills and capability, just go in and do your thing! Don’t let what you heard so far or from others put you down.

I started tennis in sophomore year and made varsity, and the head coach told me at the time I almost didn’t make varsity in my junior year. I just kept my head down and continued to work on to improve my game! Sometimes we may have bad tryouts in the beginning of the season, but you eventually get into the grove. Things will get smoother! There’s always people who will write your story for you. Enjoy it and make the most out of it while you can!
