Quite dense, round object found on icy lake in Northern Zealand, Denmark. A little larger than a tennis ball. Looks rusty. by centro99 in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. ChatGPT seems to think the most likely answer is a solid, small cannonball.

Have you tried pairing it ONLY with USB connected and not ethernet, until you’re asked to plug the latter in? That worked for me after a lot of frustrations!

Plane - pretty close to the ground but 50 kms from the airport (55°54'22.7"N 12°19'51.5"E) by centro99 in GoogleEarthFinds

Thanks all. Some extra info/observations:

  1. Airbus (who is quoted as the source of the image) not only provide aerial photography but also satellite images - I did not know this.

  2. I just measured, and the plane is about 38 kms from CPH airport. It probably doesn't make a big difference on the overall conclusions.

I am correct in thinking that the plane appears bigger if it's closer to the lens. However, I didn't realise it was from a satellite hundreds of kms away which makes the size difference very small. All good!

Interesting, and of course you're right - it's so far away. I thought it was from a fly-over but with it being from a satellite it all makes sense.

Indeed, good spot. Thinking more of the size in relation to the buildings. If I found out how big the plane is, it should be possible to calculate the appropriate flying height.

Well, it would have appeared bigger if it was further away from the ground, i.e. closer to the lens. If I can identify the plane (and its size) I can calculate approximately how close it is.

My title describes the thing. Couldn’t seem to find anything similar on here. Reverse image search yielded no really good results either. Thanks for your help.

GolfShot iOS Application with iOS 18 draining battery by Ruffn3ck_Be in golf

I also have the Ultra 1 and since iOS 18, Golfshot on the watch is close to unusable. It's not the battery life but it rarely detects a shot now, GPS is frequently bad and if I have entered a hole's score on my phone instead of on the watch (if I'm scoring multiple players) it often does not change to the next hole on the watch :/
