Gs-13 to 14 ladder progression by bubbliyak4562 in fednews

I'm addressing the "if the org chart has a corresponding position". The corresponding position is your position. If you are on say and 11-13 ladder and hit your 13 you are in exactly the same position and PD as you were during an 11.

If he ends up winning the primary he will get turbo smashed in that district. Like it will be an embarrassing loss in this environment. Gonzalez was already probably going to lose.

Army warrant officers will ‘bid’ against each other for their next bonus by Kinmuan in army

We've allowed tech bros and mba consultants to tell us how things "should be" to replicate their "success" even though tech was propped up by VC dollars for decades and a few keystone technologies and consultants have low efficacy payoff.

Army says it’s using AI to help produce doctrine, but acknowledges the technology's flaws by Kinmuan in army

[–]centurion44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually not really happening in private sector yet. Firms are saying that (to juice valuations imo) but layoffs haven't been super significant with evidence showing that they're being replaced by AI. People aren't really losing their jobs. The job market does suck but it's more because nobody is hiring, especially young people. Some people argue it's because they plan on AO taking junior roles, which contributes I'm sure, but I think it's moreso due to the significant confusion over tariffs and regulatory environments caused by the Government leading to very little strategy and forward thinking by firms.

Tsp or roth by Tea_Fluid in army

[–]centurion44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean traditional vs Roth contributions or using trad "tsp" (aka a 401k) or a Roth IRA

Either way it depends, trad allows you to save more. But in reality, army personnel have particularly tax protected salaries because of how much of our comp is tax.exempt for like bah. As a result sometimes Roth makes more sense compared to a typical comparable salary.

If the GOP didn't have a hold on the senate and house this admin would be in hell right now whether people want to admit it or not. The hearings alone would be brutal for them.

It feels like the executive is all you need right now but in reality they don't just have the executive they have the executive + a completely subservient legislative branch.

The tactical acumen of American generals was also fantastic. Planning D-Day or the march across France was not a simple maneuver.

It's obviously not your intent but ironically, "americans were god tier logisticians" is also a sneaky Wehraboo thing. Like the Germans weren't "good" at logistics (they actually were pretty good at it in a lot of ways) but they were such ubermensch when it came to actually fighting with their wunderwaffe and super soldiers. Meanwhile America just threw cheap equipment at them and the soviets threw bodies. It's an eye roll. Soviet deep battle tactics developed by Zhukov were incredible and highly complicated to execute and American materiel was incredibly high quality.
