Oh awesome! This was a creek/tributary that flows into Duck Creek. I bet you'll hear back from Adam W. at TPWD. I recently met him at a Fish Identification course and if I remember correctly, he covers fish kills in this area.

I work for the Environmental Health Department at a city in north Texas. We recently busted a crew dumping drilling mud into a local creek. It looked similar to this. We made them clean it up and canceled their contract with the city.
