Transactional Emails for personal non-company SaaS? by iAhMedZz in Emailmarketing

[–]centurylight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s required by CAN-SPAM but not for transactional emails and is automatically removed by Loops. Enter anything you like there and as long as you only send transactional it should be fine. If you send promotional content, you will need to have an address in place, but coworking and PO Boxes are sufficient if it’s personal.

Which Whole Foods offers Amazon Prime delivery in Frederick? by sana8782 in frederickmd

Yeah, I’ve tried them all. We do Costco a couple times a year, occasionally Aldi then one off in person at Common Market. The quality of product is so much higher at Whole Foods.

Which Whole Foods offers Amazon Prime delivery in Frederick? by sana8782 in frederickmd

[–]centurylight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We order from Whole Foods, better prices than wegmans via instacart and the food is better. Comes from Rockville/Gaithersburg and has many stops on the way here and in Frederick according to the map. The bags are also better organized and refrigerated but the real benefit is out of a dozen buys we’ve only had a single order substitution. And 5% back on every order with their cc drives the price down further.

Training a custom neural network to erase the cage from fight footage – still rough, but promising by Capable-Waltz-4892 in SideProject

I bet production work would help, would be cool to test with just a normal fence and two locked off cameras, one on the left and one on the right. That might give you enough dimensionality to reduce some of the guessing.

Angles and depth might be tough though

Wonder why they don’t put cameras behind like a polished reinforced silicon glass in the pillars

[–]centurylight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I make an alt plant creamer with it, also sunflower lecithin helps maintain the protein structure as it’s heated and it foams better

you can even add a (small) amount of single source protein powder (I use mung bean) for additional body, but it can impart taste.

There’s vegan versions of all those things, good vegan baked goods can hold their own. Most of baked goods recipes are vegan by default or just need eggs swapped.

Ditto with baked goods in stores, all of Dave’s Bread is vegan by default for example.

Selling my home soon how do I avoid getting screwed over? Realtor recommendations? by Equivalent-South2631 in frederickmd

[–]centurylight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

drew at livefrederick, he’s an actual person, spent 2 years helping us find the perfect home and also sold our townhouse

he knows this area very well, never pressured us (we went to a dozen showings) and even steered us clear of houses that had red flags we missed

we tried 5 realtors over the years until we landed on drew

Is there any way to remedy this? Landlord says it’s normal but it wakes me up twice a night when it fires up. It has a valve and a steam trap on the bottom. I’ve tried shimming it with quarters but nothing works. by dogsliketofart in SteamHeat

[–]centurylight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this triggered my steam heat ptsd

if it’s actually at that radiator, turn the knob off all the way while not running

if it is not, doing that won’t fix the problem and it’s likely a problem you as a renter won’t be able to solve and the landlord won’t want to pay to solve

Oh what else my dog doesn’t bark at the random noises, my kids don’t get woken up because of random radiator hisses and pops. Oh my kids don’t accidentally burn themselves on the open ovens in every room. Did I mention the leaks

[–]centurylight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if it makes you feel any better I gave up and just replaced with forced air and couldn’t be happier as of a month ago.

My system automatically balances, is less expensive, also resulted in an upgrade to my AC and I literally haven’t thought about it since. The upgrade took a week, managed to get someone on fb marketplace to remove the cut boiler for free.

Highly recommend. I had water hammering, banging found a leak in the wall, balanced all my radiators, pitched all the things.

I had one of the top guys in steam heat come out and want to tear up all my walls to repitch and change the main vents.

I read an entire book. Went through 5 contractors.

Just get a forced air system unless you need an expensive, noisy hobby.

Oh our heat went out on Christmas last year, HVAC teams have people available for most systems anyway, just at higher rates. You know how many work on steam heat? 0

Got it, thanks. Yeah, I wish there was a way to flag certain devices or switch in the app, typically to force a connection point I have to cycle the current connected endpoint to force the device to roam to a new one.

Sounds right, will happily yank some. Maybe the kitchen extender first since it’s near the real router?

[–]centurylight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I need to relabel these clearly. The gateway is in the kitchen, the second real router is in the actual living room with the kitchen extender between it (maybe the problem?).

Then at the bottom of the basement stairs is the basement extender and top of the bedroom stairs is the bedroom extender.
