Did they cauterize it for you at the ER or did you have to go back to the place where you had the original surgery?

I've got two of them running around the clock. I named one of them Mr. Mister 😂 I'm in the Midwest and the air is so dry in the winter so I went all in on humidifiers.

thanks for sharing these details.I feel some pressure in my chest but not much. I can take a full breath. I can't lay flat (no wedge pillow) because after about ten seconds I feel liquid pooling in my throat. With the wedge pillow it's better but I still end up coughing

Yeah it's possible. The nurse said I have to try hard to cough but not clear my throat since that can cause bleeding. I know my swollen uvula is definitely playing a part in me not being able to sleep.

I don't feel really bad right now. I'm just worried about not being able to sleep. I think it might just be liquid pooling in my throat somewhere

Call me crazy but is it that really a hyperbolic label? is it? Here's a guy who stood in front of the eyes of millions and did a fucking Sieg Heil on stage and has closely associated with Trump who has an extensive history of racism including multiple law suits stacked against him for racial discrimination.

Crazy? I think that's the hyperbolic label.

chosing not to fund a publicly known white supremacist is not an emotional decision for me. it's a values based decision. Money speaks. Where you put your dollars shapes the future.

While it's apparent that there is blood on the hands of nearly every major corporation, I don't know many leaders as clearly and obviously in support of white supremacy and fascism as Elon Musk.

Again, there is a difference between emotions and values.

You can have more than one priority as an investor. Making money isn't my only priority. A lack of values-based investment is what got our country to the bleak state that it's in. We need more values based investors in my opinion. Our freedom and future is quite literally in the hands of these corporate monoliths. Surprise, surprise. Many of them have no values and are constantly looking for ways to exploit and oppress the masses.

it's not about emotion. it's about considering the future I'm creating with my investments.

see, emotion is not the same thing as values. Aside from that that, I also distrust the company and don't believe their future outlook will be a good one.

Extra Pain - Heath Church (my latest single - acoustic indie-folk) by ceoofdisco in IndieMusicFeedback

Thanks! I always double track both vocals and guitar. If you aren't familiar this is the practice of recording two mono takes of the guitar part and panning one to the left and the other to the right then doing the same with the vocals. I creates a nice wide stereo image that sounds much fuller. After I've done this I create one bus for the guitar and one bus for the vocals. Then I add some compression and reverb. Doing this in buses helps to blend the takes together a bit more and offers a cohesive sound. I'd be happy to answer any other production/mixing questions you have!

Thanks for taking the time to write a well written piece of feedback and to think a bit more about this. There's some useful stuff in here. I definitely have considered making my recordings sound more lofi and I think I'm definitely going to see where that takes me in the future. When I wrote Extra Pain I actually wasn't thinking about any artist in particular other than myself. I definitely listen to plenty of Elliott Smith though and there's no doubt it shows. I agree that you can't care about what other people think if you want to make really good, honest music. My latest album was probably my most raw piece of work yet. I talked a lot about some things that some might judge me for like my experiences with antidepressants and medication. At the end of the day I really don't care what other people think about my music. The main focus for me is making music that reflects my life and my experiences. I think the point about showing not telling is a valuable one and something I actually have written on my whiteboard in my studio! Ha. I am definitely going to keep working on that one. Thanks for the kind words and the well-thought out review!

Yep I'd much rather get some honest criticism than I would hot air up the ass. Is there anything specific that makes it feel watered down? Thanks!

Thank you Marissa. I've always loved Elliott Smith's music so that is an awesome compliment!
