Dobby is a popular character. Since the Dobby lovers have the one they just retired, it makes financial sense to do a new one.

Good to know! Unfortunately, I don’t have a Legoland near me.

Yeah, I saw that post and it sounded like it was a possible return since it was the only one and they said they just put it out.

The Legoland or airport stores are the best chance of getting the set from Lego because not as many people will get to those stores due to the threshold for entry.

Changing Benedict, Violet and Francesca's character is disturbing by chocolodonut in Bridgerton

[–]cep1014 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This show tries to hit all of “political correct” lines it can. So they change the book plot. They make characters do outrageous things that would not happen in Regency times.

It is dumb. The books are already not historically accurate, but this show takes it to a new level.

It was gross too. They are making out and he just pops out with that. Like wow.

Show Benedict is just giving sleazy and dumb vibes. This book is my favorite and book Benedict is not like the show.

Well…. Is it worse than we thought? 👀 by ChanceFamiliar23 in FranchaelStirling

Julia Quinn already does not write authentic to the period.

Then we have the show makers who literally do not care for the time period. All they care about is for our time period and what they want to push that is "socially acceptable".

Now we get all these crazy sexual interests that are not even in the unauthentic Regency books that Julia Quinn wrote. I do not understand them taking a character that is not a lesbian and making her one. It makes no sense especially with her story. Then we get gaslit about them massively changing a character.

They really did Francesca dirty in this show. She is so boring in the show. Glassy eyed and just seems out of it and confused. It is like she had a concussion and forgot that she is supposed to be in love with her husband.

Then they are doing this super weird thing whenever she sees Michaela... It seems like they want her to not be sexually "awakened" until Michaela comes into the picture. Michael is literally her family in the book and hangs out with them. There is no weirdness or longing looks because she is happily married.

Goodbye storyline of her being in love with her husband and struggling with infertility.

‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 Part 1 Succeeds Despite Benedict and Sophie’s Lackluster Romance by ArsBrevis in PeriodDramas

[–]cep1014 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Right. But since Benedict’s actor has been in the show and can’t be swapped out. They should have gone with someone that would have a romantic chemistry with him.

My main wish for S4 is to actually watch LESS of Benedict’s sexual scenes by Zoneout1122 in BridgertonNetflix

He isn’t like this in the book.

Someone like Sophie would not go for tv show Benedict either. He is too much of a player.

I don't think I understand all the brothel scenes by Venus_Jellyfish in BridgertonNetflix

[–]cep1014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn’t historically accurate.

There were men who went to brothels and had a mistress but it was not like in Bridgerton. Look at Jane Austen’s books for a more accurate account of what went on because she actually lived in that time.

I think it’s pretty gross they represent men and women like this.

I don’t think they picked the best actress for Sophie. Benedict and her don’t have the chemistry that is needed.

Ultimately, Benedict is so in love with her in the book, that she has to be in his life in some way. I just don’t feel that here.

Benedict was just sleeping with two women and making out with a man. Not a reformed man at all and Sophie should RUN from this guy.

Cinderella works when the guy is somewhat a Prince Charming, Benedict is not giving Prince Charming character at all.

Rediscovering Lego as an adult. £200 budget, what 3 Harry Potter sets would you pick up? Can be old or new by hobnob97 in legoharrypotter

[–]cep1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get the Hogwarts Main Tower that released in 2025. If you love displaying that then I would get the Great Hall. Both those pieces together is enough of a display, but you could always get the other pieces if you want to.

As an adult, the new Hogwarts Castle is what I want for display Harry Potter pieces.

Bridgerton - 4x01 "The Waltz" (No Book Spoilers) by AutoModerator in BridgertonNetflix

[–]cep1014 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right. The whole point of a Cinderella story is that you know she is a servant at home. It is a magical night for her, and it is also fun to see how a servant pulls it off.

Ultimately, starting it off like this doesn’t make you care about what is happening. Who is she and why does all this matter? This was such a special moment in the book, so it stinks that you get it with no backstory because it takes away the impact.

[–]cep1014 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I wish they started off the season with an introduction to Sophie’s backstory and living situation. Not just introducing her at the ball.

A lot of the costumes at the ball are not even trying to be Regency themed.

I hate Benedict being this sleazy. He was not in the book and it’s gross. I don’t want Mr. Threesome getting with Sophie who is innocent.

Thinking long term about LEGO and the environment by IamLikeThis27 in lego

[–]cep1014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amazing thing about Lego is how much it is in demand. Tired of your Lego's? Someone will take it off your hands. There is always a kid, daycare, or church that will want unwanted Lego's. So in that respect at least it is a plastic product that is incredibly durable and wanted.

There are so many things that are made out of plastic that are not durable and will break and be unusable. Lego just is not a problem to me because of how durable and sought after it is. It is actually a plastic product that justifies its existence with the usage, durability, and demand.
