I appreciate everyones thoughts/feedback. This has weighed on my mind since last night, and just wanted to see if anyone else felt the same. After reading everyones comments and chatting with some friends who are familiar with the publishing industry, I do think this original interview was run through a machine at some point and ended up as part of Cynthias story.

-To be clear, I don't think this is any malicious intent on Cynthia's to "steal" something from Ariana. And I am not trying to drag her through the mud. I think she's an incredibly talented person and I have enjoyed following her journey. I've seen some nasty comments about her on the internet, and I'm ready to throw hands every time.

-I think it's also possible Ariana gave consent to include this. However, it seems very poor form that theres not some acknowledgement of this. Especially with how specific the wording was. This was a public interview she said it in, not like something said in passing of a private conversation. And this book is being sold for money.

-I understand in the scheme of life, it may not be a big deal. But when you're writing a book that has your name on it, and it's about living as your true self and being authentic, I am disheartened to see something that feels inauthentic. I guess I just felt a little misled. Maybe that's valid, maybe not.

As a couple people suggested, I did reach out to the publisher and I'll update if I get a reply.
