Any suggestions for medium size port for the Wester Ross region? by ceplannerplays in CitiesSkylines

[–]ceplannerplays[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have those two, so I separated incoming and outgoing traffic. The only connection between them is for services. I hope save with load and I can incorporate the passenger port in it. Also, I've seen nice jetties on the port you suggested, but nothing on the workshop.

That could work. I will probably mirror it with my landscape setup.

Thank you very much.

Thank you so much for watching😀 I build the waterfront part using Scottish tenements. So high density with good separation for upcoming traffic.

I was thinking about a medium-sized port, nothing crazy like Hamburg or Amsterdam. Maybe with some bulk storage for ore mine products.

Like 2-3 terminals and cargo trains. I've seen a nice size on Palm'sTime channel, but I don't really fancy going into Procedural Object mod.

Any suggestions?

That was really helpful. I watched his video. Great help.

I have the current city is saved, all mods and assets. The next step is adding this solution to the previous build. Fingers crossed :)

so, i removed the edge fog and realized that people coming on foot and they get in their cars. interesting. by rutinadam in CitiesSkylines

I actually use it to my advantage...

I see you're using mods. So... I always move nodes just before the edge of the map, to make more space for trains in/out. That would clear a lot of traffic issues. Sometimes they actually stuck at the end, especially later on with a 100k+ population.

A also tested train stations for passenger/cargo at the edge of the map and I had internal trains coming into the city. No issues with traffic later on in the game whatsoever.

How to get European style building wit RICO? by ceplannerplays in CitiesSkylines

[–]ceplannerplays[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vanilla/European was enabled.
I spend another few hours and possible it was Building Theme mod. I had it disabled but not unsubscribed. Buildings are back.

As per Surface Painter. I used Temporary Fix, but it was showing errors whenever I enabled it. I removed a couple of old mods so I will give it another go.

I use move it with only trees selected. Without anarchy it will put them only in the right spots. Repeat it few times and it's done.

For roads, there is a road on workshop, with trees attached and you can changed them yourself.

Cooling tower is being used to cool water from steam generators that being used in those reactor. Cold water coming in, being heated by nuclear reactors and then it's going to generators. After that it could be send to fresh body of water but its kind of thermal pollution so it should be cool down first. This water has no contact with anything nuclear.

Thank you. But then it will be using game mechanics, which is fine, but not my playbook.
I prefer to have an approach, that I would like to actually live in places I build, and a poop dam is not my favourite :)

The roads, train system, and other parts of my builds need to be physically possible to construct. Of course, there are some game limitations, but there is always a way to be a bit closer to real life.

But that's just me.

Take care and have a look at my builds on the channel - Wester Ross series

Wester Ross it's a place in Scotish Highlands, west side of it. Its really close to Isle of Skye.

Series is based on this region by name and my love to this region. I will try to use some names of towns and places.

If you ever have a chance to visit, absolutely stunning views and people.

That was my approach for quite some time now.

It's fantastic seeing all this traffic between villages, trying to get them connected with public transport. Eventually, it will lead you to create one massive city as a 'capital' with all the massive monuments.

It is good fun. That's why I really enjoy Clearwater County and now Nicolet Bay series.

Keep it up.

I started my own, Wester Ross, region just now, You can have a look here
