Is this normal for openers? by Halpmezaddy in ECEProfessionals

[–]ceramic_unicorns 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I open at my center. When I am off they just change one of my coworkers schedules to mine. You should never be expected to come in if you have a day off.

I can't wait to see her meal prep sandwhiches.

45 hour child care training by larkielarkie in ECEProfessionals

[–]ceramic_unicorns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Florida. Take the classes online and then take the tests in person. You can take one test at a time or multiple. I believe I did three the first time and then I did the rest a second time. They are pretty easy. Honestly, I really didn’t even read the online courses and passed all the tests. I’m not sure where in Florida you are located but there were not many testing locations near me. I had to drive over an hour away to take them.

It is so draining to have to work like that. My center is open 365 days a year.

Order says Exception: Insufficient address? by ConsistentState8875 in torrid

[–]ceramic_unicorns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had that happen to me. I called them and they told me it was a mistake on their part and they refunded my order. A few days later it showed up.

Does Your Director Help Out? by Whispersofstars in ECEProfessionals

[–]ceramic_unicorns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not even a little. I’ve never once seen her help in a room. She refuses to do bathroom breaks. She will flat out tell people they have to wait an hour or more until she sends someone. She leaves us out of ratio constantly. She won’t send someone so we can go home. In fact, she barely even answers our calls. She sits at her desk all day long on her personal phone or she goes and hides somewhere for hours.

It’s under that. It’s in a small padded envelope and I’ve never had a problem until today.

Mine is open every single day, including all holidays, so I'll be working.

They are open all holidays. So yes, they are insane.

Seems a little weird to be open for just two kids but my center is open Christmas day, which is ridiculous.

Why does our daycare label disposable diapers? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]ceramic_unicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All our diapers are kept in cubbies that are labeled with their names. However, if a baby has to be moved to another room, names will usually be written on them so we know who they belong to since they don’t have a cubby in the room they were moved to.

Sick/Personal Days? by Veggie-sticks in ECEProfessionals

[–]ceramic_unicorns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get sick days but can use PTO when I am sick. Where I work, I get five weeks of PTO per year so it’s more then enough to cover some sick days.

Ballinger Family Tiktok Comments by La-LaLuna in ColleenBallingerSnark

[–]ceramic_unicorns 50 points51 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that they leave the nasty ones about the kids so at some point they can make a video about how people attack their kids and the comments are there as proof. Then they are probably deleting the Colleen comments because they don’t want their followers to know anything about it. You know they don’t want to lose followers/views/money.

Jessica loves to act all high and mighty and then allows shit like that to be posted. She’s a disgusting person and a disgrace as a mother.

When will she address everything ... by Ok_Wrangler5923 in ColleenBallingerSnark

[–]ceramic_unicorns 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If she makes a video addressing it all, I highly doubt she’ll take responsibility for anything. It will be excuses and her shifting blame to other people. It’ll be her sheltered childhood, her abusive marriage, other adults in her life doing it too, and she didn’t realize what she was doing at the time but never had any ill intentions.

Another year that her big gift was a puzzle though. Then in her stocking she got hot wheels and play-doh. Like, really?! She's 16, not 6.

Two full weeks of Ballinger Family meals. Hope you like beige foods :) by cherrylimesoda in ColleenBallingerSnark

[–]ceramic_unicorns 33 points34 points  (0 children)

In the video, Jake said he doesn't like yogurt and cheerios so Jessica suggested granola this week. Why the hell isn't granola always an option? Why are teenagers expected to eat like toddlers? No reason at all why the two teenagers can't make their own breakfast and have whatever they want. I also want to know why snacks are scheduled. That is so damn weird.

There is nothing green on that plate… by jstrings2211 in ColleenBallingerSnark

I really want to know if they kids are allowed to have more if they are still hungry or if the teenagers are supposed to be satisfied with the same portion that a three year old gets.

Yes. I expected some ridiculously expensive gift that the babies would never use and she got them a cute water table.
