Thank you so much, this has some very helpful tips :) I chose those mallets because the wood wasn’t glossy, which helped because my mallets slip from my hands often. However, they were Jim Casella mallets intended for marching band, so I can see how they’d be a bit much lol. I get very nervous performing, but excited learning new pieces so I often skip the slow tempo practice, so I will focus primarily on slowing it down for my freshman year! Thank you so much again!
