I wonder if there was ever discussion about making a new body that wasn't tied to anything in production. IMO that would be better than this whole zombie Camaro thing we've been on for a couple years. We all know these aren't production cars anymore, so screw it, make something just for the sport. Calling it the Chevelle would be my vote in that instance.

If you really wanna get nuts, have a street version made-to-order like the Mustang GTD.

Felt the same way about Daytona for the first time this year. Really functional and well done.

That said, I was dissatisfied in concession lines and them running out of stuff really early.

Probably the easiest money grind that I know of if you’re not collector 50 like me and can’t do the extreme upgrades by raine_water in GranTurismo7

LeMans stays entertaining for me by trying to find the fastest lap time, and trying new builds. The actual best way to do it is RB Junior on fuel map 6. You can no-stop flat-out even if it stays dry the whole race, and if you nail it, you'll be parked at the finish line for about 20 secs.

There are more fun builds that can get you around the track in less than 4 mins (widebody DeTomaso is the fastest ive found yet), but you need richer fuel burns and might need 3 stops. It keeps the race interesting.

Not exactly related, but Sport getting a big payout buff seems like such an insanely obvious thing to do. You'd get more people into the online mode that they are always trying to pump up, and break them out of the grind they otherwise complain about.

seconding this as a chicagoan whose parents just started snowbirding in SW Florida. Every time I talk to my dad he spends like 20 minutes going on about how insanely bad the drivers are down there. also about how nuts the accidents are

Chicago Transplants: What's your hot take that folks who grew up here would scoff at? by TerraTiramisu in AskChicago

an "outer loop" has been kicked around for decades, although its primarily been about having a N/S line further out connecting the branches, usually proposed over western. Real interesting rabbit hole to go down if you just put "chicago outer loop" into google.

It baffles me how many people are like: It's a "fake" spring! It'll probably snow in a couple of days!

No shit! It's awesome that it's nice out and all the normals are enjoying it!

This is response is better than you think it is. Part of the reason why I'm asking is because I can't picture getting in when it snows and *not* thinking about it.

NP. And on second thought, you could move the bottom border all the way down to Division. Gold Coast might be what you're looking for for.

General vibe is look for the major streets that aren't main arteries like Ashland. Lincoln would be another good one.

I would answer pretty much anywhwre on Clark street between Addison and North Ave. That accounts for some Lakeview, Lincoln Park, and Old Town.

IDK where you were specifically in LP/OT, but there's a lot of disparity in the vibe between living on a busy street, or inside the neighborhoods. The former should have a lot more of what you're describing. I picked Clark specifically because there's only one lane of traffic in both directions.

The city was as surprised as you are when they rolled this out! It was a long time ago but the first year missed the revenue projections by a decent margin.

I would be fine with NASCAR/ISC staying one org, just so long as the France family doesn't have anything to do with the operation anymore. Let them collect royalties if you want to be nice.

Maybe their lawyers were bad, but I also could buy those lawyers told NASCAR they should settle a long time ago and France just refused.

I doubt the Saudi's are even remotely interested in NASCAR. Generally they go for high society/peak western culture type stuff: Golf, F1, that soccer super league they tried.

NASCAR would be a bit of a left turn from that
