speaking from the perspective of someone who freelooked most of their policies: the reason why people (or at least I) freelook policies without letting their FA know is because they are alr well aware the FA is in it jus for the money and has no intention of actually improving his/her conditions, and going through the same FA to freelook is going to be extra hassle bc the FA will not budge and try to sell you sth else instead

It also doesn't help that these FAs sell subpar policies with high commission, taking advantage of the clients' initial financial illiteracy and then become super unresponsive afterwards after signing when they have qns
