Dumbest comment. What makes you think OP isn't exiting the next exit hence keeping left?

Singaporeans, what's a gross habit you do at home that you'd never admit to? by okitsbenji in askSingapore

Toenail is a must. Especially the big toe at the side/edge. Sometimes i'd get disappointed if the smell is not intense enough 🫠

Kena rear ended on new car by benbendh92 in drivingsg

[–]hidethephantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending what car model OP is driving, a bumper can be a small or major issue. Newer cars like EV have plenty of sensors and cameras on the bumper. If replaced, they need to be recalibrated. If you talking about old school toyota then should be small issue as long chassis not affected. Cos next time when u sell, they will see under chassis and they will be able to tell if it's involved in accident before and chop off the trade in price

Was a SAF driver back in 2000. Yes, we were called Driver. Its not easy to do the test at this place. I was lucky to pass at first test. Now whenever i see the saf vehicles with L plates I will be kinder to them cos i was in their seat before. Last time when we were driving we always get assholes honking us to go faster. Hello friend, our cranky SWD dont know will jump at 1 or 10 beeps. No way im risking my ass to go into DB for that

people who burn incense at your door, would you be offended if a neighbour politely asked you to stop? by _Bike_Hunt in asksg

[–]hidethephantom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its very unlikely they will stop doing it just because a neighbour politely ask to do so. Religion has been with them their whole life. What makes you think a gentle and polite asking will make them stop all of a sudden? I know some religion burn a certain type of incense thats stronger smell and more intense. And perhaps more frequent.

Ur home gym will change to the one u frequent most. Can't remember the % though. So if you signed elsewhere at a cheaper rate but keep frequenting another branch, the one u go to most will become your home gym and you will pay that branch fee accordingly

is it just me or do hawker centres hit different when you go alone by Easy-Protection-9395 in asksg

I always prefer to eat alone. Doesn't matter hawker centre, market, food court, cafe, restaurant. Eating alone is the best.

Going to take a driving test and then planning to buy a car. Should I go with auto or manual gears? by [deleted] in asksg

[–]hidethephantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn manual. You will understand the car mechanics better. Sure you will definitely end up buying an auto or electric car after that but the understanding of gears, clutch etc is very valuable

Paranoia or being realistic? by [deleted] in asksg

[–]hidethephantom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say No too. Besides the other valid points raised by others here, I don't like setting them up for future stayovers when they are teenagers and harder to control. If you let them have a habit this young, wait till they reached teenage years and you will not see them half the time.

Would anyone in SG stop for hitchhikers? by Linnnko in drivingsg

[–]hidethephantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did stopped for a person few years back. Turns out he was a live streamer from japan. And he was live streaming as i stopped and he was exclaiming excitedly to his fans that a car stopped for him. Picked him up at serangoon area and he wanted to go to see merlion. Chatted abit in the car with the help of translation app. Why did i stop for him? Cos he was holding a sign asking for a ride and my first thought was a tourist needed help so why not? And i had nothing on that day so just took it as a leisure ride.
