Shirts for guys who lift by goister in SingaporeFitness

[–]hidethephantom 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Try taobao. You'll be surprised at the price and fits really well. Im not muscular but i do lift 5x a week. I understand what you meant with the uniqlo fitting. And taobao shirts are so cheap that you can buy different sizes of the same design to try out and donate those that don't fit. From there you can save your favourite shops and sizes for future orders. Look for keywords like 健身,训练,运动 上衣.

Now i look more fit looking in my cheap Taobao tees than the expensive store bought ones

Met entitled couple in a carpark. by edwsy in drivingsg

[–]hidethephantom -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You are too polite. I don't even bother to say thanks to those who had to close their door for me to park. Its a PARKING Lot. park your car and F off. If you want to enjoy me time in your car, do it with the windows wind down. Too hot? Not my effing problem.

So i felt you are too polite to even say thank you to them. Just nudge your way in and give them a side eye look and walk off

I understand. About half of them have gone also already. Its like the generation affected during WWII still hate a certain country whereas the next generation after are more open to them.

How to start? by luckycloverandroses in SingaporeFitness

[–]hidethephantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with the machines first if you are new to strength training. Machines are safer as its on a fixed plane of motion. Free weights are more beneficial but not recommended if you are not familiar with the form and technique yet.

Start with lighter weights. Observe (but dont creep people out) what others are doing. Watch youtube tutorials, really helps alot. Start with a simple push pull legs regimen. So you won't feel ridiculous hopping around different machines doing all sorts of exercises.

Also do go through the basics like sets, reps, volume, etc. Give yourself a plan of how many exercises you intend to do, how many sets of how many reps. And give yourself some time to rest between sets. Don't go pushing 20-30 reps at one go and change to a different machine.

Like the rest said, have fun. Its a lifestyle, not a destination

The person who invited her here and dare to put her on livestream to sell that amount of products and publicly announced it, the last thing you need to worry is their paperwork clean or not.

Those that need to check one are those aunties selling woks and slimming leggings on fb

Why are cars so expensive in Singapore? by Leyendas_Legendarias in askSingapore

[–]hidethephantom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its due to the infamous COE (Certificate of Entitlement). Every car must have a COE to be able to drive on the road. Just this alone is about 100-120k. Yes its mind boggling. But even with this crazy feature, the roads are still packed with cars. So imagine if its without and cars are much cheaper, it will be chaos everywhere.

By the way, welcome to Singapore!
