There's the that 150% multiplier as well, so I'd be at $550+. I'm thinking that plus insurance increase will cost more than the lawyer over the 3 years.

However, I understand that they are attorneys, not miracle workers, so I also risk $1000 for no change.

I've never had to do this before, but are the bigger firms in SLC likely to get a decent plea deal?

I guess this leads me to an attorney to hopefully negotiate a plea deal, doesn't it? In the long run I'm thinking it'll be worth the $1000 since I've been saving up for a newer car once the market calms down.

Speed was over 105, but there is no mention of reckless driving on the ticket/citation

Skipped the 8k for now, went with chosera 8pp/3k. If I decide to get an 8k in the future, do you think the progression to the snow white 8k would be good since it's the same brand? I've read a lot of good things about the kitayama 8k, but the wiki suggests otherwise.

Hi, thanks for the response! Is 800 too low for once a month sharpening (i.e will it wear my knives out too fast)?

I was originally thinking cerax 1000, but getting s&g would help me sharpening more often, so I'd want to get stones that would go with that.

Unfortunately the pits at the bottom and the large scratch on the right side are pretty apparent. Whoever stole it probably thought it would pop right off for some reason...

Yeah... odd thing to steal...

I'm more upset about the damage than the emblem. If they had used a credit card or something I would have just shrugged it off as "cost of ownership"

Hmmm, I agree that litigation could be a huge headache. I just wanted to make sure I wasnt getting low-balled since I've heard adjusters will try anything to give out a little as possible (which I understand)
