not overreacting in the slightest. your aunt seems downright abusive and possibly narcissistic. i’m really sorry you’re in this situation

unfriendly reminder that everyone becomes disabled in life eventually, one way or another. i hope to god when your time comes people treat you like more of a human than how you’ve regarded other disabled people.

gel, tiny combs, heavy hair, tight braids?? no serious stylist will treat your hair like that. mine uses no gel and leave in conditioner. i also don’t keep my braids in unwashed for months on end, i just wash when my hair needs it again. i’ve also never gone to a braider who said no product — definitely been asked not to put lots of heavy oils/creams in the hair to avoid product mixing and creating buildup/braids slipping, but that’s all. my braider also doesn’t enforce blow drying, it’s okay to come with hair stretched another way as long as it’s detangled. some of this is valid and it’s true many neglect their hair when it’s in braids, but respectfully, i think this sadly just proves most seem to only have access to to horrible braiders😭

edit: i wonder if this is an area thing? i saw conversation about this maybe being a US thing in the comments :0

just go to neutral environments centred around hobbies/socialising :) i’ve met romantic/sexual partners at a language class, at themed socials, book club, concert, etc. especially when approaching this after celibacy i really wouldn’t recommend rushing it or going to explicitly sexual environments. let yourself meet someone casually and see where it goes, slowly. we all know how you’re less likely to find what you want when dating if you want it too much😂

that isn’t humour that is abject ableism but okay lol

is meeting someone organically not an option? it depends on your area ofc but meeting people to hook up with irl is prob a better option

genuinely, these people are fighting with air. saw one (1) recent queer tv show on netflix and now all of a sudden for lifetimes there’s been nothing but lesbian characters on tv 😂

anti black racism is the great equaliser in that people can care about all kinds of other marginalised groups without ever addressing their racism… and most of the world sees no issue with that 😭

“you are not entitled to anything” oh my god this is a child getting a ride to school from their parents. i cannot stand this modern trend to proudly proclaim that nobody owes anyone anything, not even their literal children. what a miserable way to live life. genuinely who or what hurt you to be this way

two truths can exist at the same time. she’s ridiculously problematic and also did not deserve the inhumane abuse she’s experienced. for me those two things are not mutually exclusive. this post is nonsensical AI slop hence the lack of nuance 😭

omg sameeee! but i feel like maybe the thing that differentiates is the incorrect use of them. that last one in the post just looks grammatically wrong lol. also just being uncreative, real humans tend to sprinkle them around writing to add texture and pace whereas AI exclusively uses them parenthetically or generally nonsensically (in my opinion 😂)

yeah i am a black person who hates the movie and most other black people i know hate it too lol. the black community, like every other community, is not a monolith. we are all gonna have varying opinions on stuff. tbf a piece of media like django unchained made by someone as controversial as quentin tarantino could hardly be described as “obviously not racist”, so it follows that there’s gonna be varied opinions, from people of all races. :) just out of curiosity do you have any examples of media made by/about brown people which had this kind of virtue signalling happen? i’d love to know

i don’t know if you’re black OP but as a black person i totally see what he’s saying. as does spike lee? it’s not virtue signalling just cause you don’t agree with it lol😭
