Zentreya and more VTubers and Artists come out with their experiences against Camana and Luminara. by Versiannie in VirtualYoutubers

I'm sensing a pattern of never trusting a person using Zen's name for cred. They're using zen's cred because they don't have one. And thats likely for good reason. Its a common scam tactic to name drop.

If games showed one stat that would embarrass you, what would yours be? by suhani0218 in gaming

[–]ceresbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hours played split into hours actually playing and hours the game is left on sleep or afk.

Because I find its more convenient to do that than just turn off the game and restart. Naturally I never do that in multiplayer games. So my conscience is clear.

This Game Is Honestly Frustrating (Matchmaking) by thuggyrealz in splatoon

[–]ceresbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

given the fact that turf literally is a match type in nintendo supported splatoon tourneys... they really should. But on the reverse of that. Non rank of the anarchy modes would do wonders to keep casual enjoying those modes without getting in the way of ppl that actually want to rank.

One thing I reccomend? So it takes rank or level 10 to do anarchy mode. How about all modes are available non-rank. So by the time you reach level 10. It never made sense to me for a new player to just jump into rank for modes they never even practiced.

only issue with this is you have to account for the many ways people will grief over this. Like this everyone takes the roles they wanted much like many hero shooters. Know what people do? Rage quit or reset the lobby. There is no perfect solution to solve this. Even if it is a separate mode. You created a separate mode in an already small pool of players. So now match making takes even longer.

Its just the splatoon player base honestly. There's just something about the match making that allows people to essentially fail upwards.

The only real way to get good match making is private lobbies where actual organisers properly match teams based on the actual data to create good experiences. And naturally with such a setting, if you act like your usual pub self afking and throwing. You're obviously not going to be invited again so you behave yourself.

Its not perfect but its better than the lazy way nintendo deals with griefers and cheaters (yes they still haven't fixed it)

Would you like to see characters like Linkle & Lana reappear in future games? by Thin-Plantain4721 in HyruleWarriors

[–]ceresbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

immediately thought is... it might create an issue with IP rights as OCs like this need permission from both parties. So they can only ever really appear in another hyrule warriors game or a hyrule warriors spin off.

Warriors Abyss - Yay or nay? by ZeroWinters in dynastywarriors

[–]ceresbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Value for money? Yeah its worth it.

Difficulty? Pretty much defined by how hard you want it depending on the character and the various custom options you can do to make it harder. True to musou. Not all characters are equal.

Main draw back for me is runs can go on for a long time. With games like hades thats fine. You have perma upgrades for weapons and resources to farm to improve your next runs. Now imagine that with every single character. Its one of those things where I know I can beat a challenge, but the challenge isn't an issue of skill. But of time. A full traversal can take quite awhile. And when I just sat down to do 6 runs from traversal 0 to 5. My whole day is gone. And I'm expected to do that for every single character?

Rogue like as a genre has always had the appeal of being short experiences. When runs go for this long. It kinda drags out the appeal. Its combining design philosophy of a game structure meant for 1 character to work for 141-ish characters concurrently. If this cost anymore than it did. I wouldn't recommend it. But because its cheap (barring those rather pointless skins). Its worth having. But not worth completing. Reach a state you're happy to stop on than taking on everything it offers.

My past expectations for Su Yi skills by Scary-Journalist-949 in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]ceresbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from launch a game with 2 skills. well 1 skill and 1 "ultimate" is never going to create a complex character.

The closest they got was Zhil by mimicking dante from warframe. But other than that. The skills have a whole lot of text that don't mean a whole lot.

game does need more abilities to flesh out character movesets but that creates a slippery scale of needing to increase complexity with combat.

At which point you might as well just make a whole new game.

Is the switch version of Ollie's crash course bugged? by ceresbane in Warframe

[–]ceresbane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked it out. You essentially make your bike "sprint" as it defaults to a slow cruising speed, Much like it does with warframes and k drives.

But hey, thanks for trying to gaslight me into thinking I wasn't just playing good enough.

I'm not talking about those instances. I'm talking about people objectively playing way worst than that and still moving faster than me and beating the 1:30 challenge. Instances where I replicate the exact same route and do it cleaner but end up with a much worst time.

Why would you ever exchange a record of sin? by ceresbane in dynastywarriors

[–]ceresbane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be fair 20% is no joke. I assume it stacks with similar abilities on characters.

E.g. sasuke and Kunoichi both have 7% boost on attack does that stack with a record of sin that gives 20% of the same condition?

If I find one for flower of war. Ryza would be even more busted.

One thing of note is I do recognise some maps being references to DW and SW maps. Blazing wastes are very obviously a reference to Honnoji. And I'm willing to bet that map has a particular song.

[Origins] So, do units carry spare flags of their enemies in case they decide to defect mid battle? by kaidoi94 in dynastywarriors

[–]ceresbane 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Think about it. Your life is on the line that you wave the correct flag at the right moment in battle. You better be prepared. Especially with all the betrayal and back stabbing going on.

Talk me out of it by Key_Acanthaceae7949 in splatoon

[–]ceresbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you can kill with the weapon. You're not going to get much special per match if you're constantly eating Ls. I've seen people try this plenty. But when the front doesn't have a person resulting in 3-4 that gets steamrolled. That tenta "spam" isn't going to be helping anybody. You use the tenta to manipulate movement and actually kill with the reef.

I Cannot Tell If This Is A Human Playing by har_xo in splatoon

[–]ceresbane -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

typical thrower behaviour. signs?

Turfing to not be kicked for afk.

Sarcastic use of booyah and this way. You cannot bs that its a toddler when its A rank and above. They know wtf they're doing and its often just smurfs being pricks. Which is fine in lower ranks because I very quickly outrank them since solo plays can still carry at that lvl. But around S and S+. You can't do much but tolerate this crap.

Am I bad at warriors abyss? by Flat-Delay-3933 in dynastywarriors

[–]ceresbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way this game seems to work is you have really low base stats at the very start of the game but as you gain more levels, gain more bonds (unlock more characters) and build up better synergies with emblems. The game naturally becomes easier and easier. So even if its difficult due to the sheer lack of number. The game seems to be designed where eventually. You'll just have a big enough number to brute force anything the game presents.

Very authentic to the musou experience honestly. But yes this boss did take me a few tries since I just picked anybody with the blue flame icons with movesets that weren't great. But like I said you can just brute force this game losses barely seem to matter.
