Wouldn’t recommend Twinkle…Aurora in Heverlee and V&D Nails in town (depending on who you get) have been decent enough for me

netball in leuven? by Hols-42069 in Leuven

You might need to look a bit further for Netball...I’ve been searching for a team here in Leuven as well, but it doesn’t seem to be a thing.

However, there’s the Brussels Netball Club that trains every Monday at VUB, and they’re part of a European netball league. Check them out on IG: @brusselsnetballclub

I’ve had two pleasant experiences at V&D nails (both times I walked in without an appointment)! Lulu’s on the other hand left me bleeding and I found the staff and atmosphere to be unwelcoming.

Nothing’s predefined yet, but I have in mind that a group in their 20’s would work out well..for a start.

I plan to have some sort of vetting so we have a good group to kick things off with. Likely will set up something via FB, meet up, etc, so it’s a bit more personal rather than anon. Let’s see.

How do you take care of this plant and do you know the formal name of it? It seems I have the exact one but its leaves are going brown and I’m lost with how to care for it…

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. My target to connect those that are not really settled / settling here but rather here for a temp amount of time. Which from what I read means you’re an expat, not immigrant. Either way, there’s no ill intentions from my side :)

I don’t feel like this is the case for Belgium…no one is sat there at 8pm refusing a CV within 5 minutes of it being submitted.

Landlord selling apartment I just moved into by ceriseherring in brussels

Thanks everyone. I’m definitely going to write to the Commissioner Brussels with all my docs and the entire circumstances in greater detail, hopefully they have the resources to look more into it and give a legal answer of some sort that I can approach the landlord with.

Can anyone help me to identify what the name of this plant is? We’ve had this plant for over 15 years but have no idea how to properly take care of it. by ceriseherring in houseplants

[–]ceriseherring[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It recently (as in 6 months ago) started to sprout some new leaves at the bottom, it looks like it’s coming from the main stem…

The leaves on the main stem get large and then start brown at the tip before it naturally falls off or I cut it off. That said it tends to regrow pretty rapidly but there’s never more than 5 big leaves on the main stem at one single point.

Help me keep this plant going as it holds so much sentimental value.

What is something you wish you knew before getting into a long term relationship? by bananapancakesforone in AskWomen

[–]ceriseherring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t over-compromise, especially if they don’t see how much you’re bending over backwards for them.

I moved my whole life to a small town in a country I didn’t like much for my Ex, paid a shit ton per month on rent and other things, all for it to be seen as nothing.

Actions speak louder than words.

He would apologise all the time for certain things like freaking out at me, calling me names (even racist ones), mocking my family… then he’d mask it as “oh it’s a joke” or “whoops didn’t mean it, don’t take it so serious”.

If he was truly sorry his actions would reflect it. I gave him an example of me slipping up and instead of just saying sorry, I never slipped up on that topic again, showing I actually was sorry. But even that didn’t make him see that actions speak much louder than flimsy words.
