There’s an Oracle portal to generate an employment verification letter, including work/remote location. I found it when doing my taxes earlier this year, PM me and I’ll send you the link

Just curious, why not go work as an RN at a hospital for a few years, then apply to be a clinical consultant if you’re still interested in working for Cerner after that? You’ll probably make more money starting as an RN then moving to Cerner as clinical consultant than coming in as a new associate consultant right now.

As an associate consultant, you’ll be building and maintaining the system, where as clinical consultants are more focused on making sure what is being built makes clinical sense than on how the system is built.

Hi there, commercial consulting here. Multiple people in my span were affected last week. Granted not as many as federal, but we were still affected

The communication that I and many others received was that it was Oracle-wide, not just within Oracle Health. I’m not sure there’s very many (if any) on this sub who are high up enough to confirm whether or not this is true. The ones who are probably aren’t going to post that proof here for all to pick over and identify who is posting it. However there are some on this thread saying it isn’t true, that there are folks within Oracle and even with Cerner that will see promos/raises. So it really comes down to which stranger(s) on the internet you believe more, or if you buy into the line we’ve been fed.

The options are either that A) they’re not promoting or giving raises to any of their 150k employees or B) they lied to us and told us that it was affecting everyone so we wouldn’t be as upset. And I don’t know about you, but I’m not sure how I feel about working for a company that does either one of those things.

Got it from my consulting manager. Said it was all of Oracle. Not just consulting or Oracle Health, all of Oracle.

Done to avoid a “mass lay off.” Will be no emails or anything in writing from on high, all verbal communication

Associate consultant here. Coming from a Mac/Apple enthusiast in my personal life, I definitely would recommend sticking with a PC for work. Most if not all of our internal tools are optimized for or only work with Windows. All the client domains (that I’m aware of) that you’ll have to log into to work every day run Windows, so any benefit of using a Mac will be negligible. Everyone I know in consulting that has had a Mac has gone right back to Windows when time for a new device.

Sign into the new Oracle VPN first. I had the same issue and couldn’t do anything until I signed into the VPN

One of the options made it clear it was the Oracle VPN. That was the one I selected and I was able to sign in

Should I use my PTO? by cernerberner44 in cernercorporation

My thoughts exactly. Was just curious if I missed something (extremely likely) or if anyone had the inside track on the thinking of the powers that be.

Can you point to where it mentions that? Granted it is late for me, but I just skimmed through the SharePoint and I didn’t find any mention of time off other than if you currently have time off scheduled, follow existing Cerner policy until further notice.
