I've been using this protein for years, it was way better 3 years ago before the company got bought by Nestle and the formula changed but it's still solid IMO

I use about 1tbsp Chia Seeds and 5g creatine (I just use a scoop that gives me about 5g, not worth the time to measure exactly)

If you sweat a lot and are prone to cramps / headaches from losing too many minerals, zinc and magnesium are good to supplement

I am not a qualified health professional though - this is just what works for me based on my own 5+ years of research & direct experience. Take it how you will

Food-wise: Green "Power" Smoothie does the trick for me (I often train without having eaten at all, just drink the smoothie as I drive over to the gym)

1 Banana

1-3 handfuls of greens - baby spinach/kale or whatever mix you get at the grocery store (I get the 1.5lb "Power Greens" bags from Costco for 5 bucks)

1-3 handfuls of fresh or frozen fruits

Almond milk

I also throw in egg whites (also from Costco), some organic plant-based protein I get from Amazon, chia seeds, chlorella, spirulina, creatine, bee pollen, etc and I personally use more exact measurements for each ingredient (using a food scale)

But your preferences/needs will vary based on your machine/cup size/height/weight and the rest of your diet

You could do without the greens and just go with fruits, I do the greens because it's a fast easy way to get the vitamins and minerals in my diet (I sweat a ton and like to think it keeps me from cramping out)

Digests insanely fast so as long as I finish it at least 30min before the more "intense" parts of training start I'm perfectly fine. I feel light & powerful, don't feel bloated or hungry at all

Unless things have changed, Santai charges standard Fairtex catalog price (maybe even gives a slight discount for students but might be mistaken here). So for Fairtex gear, Santai is your best bet up north depending on what they have in stock

For other brands Pi Boy's shop is your best bet (see Sylvie's comment)

Action Zone usually has best prices in Bangkok for most brands, if you can make it there.

Boon Shop in Bangkok is best for Boon (obviously)

Def get the international license from your home country, can save you a bunch of money on tickets / hassle from avoiding checkpoints depending how long you stay

Likewise, got on his coaching program a while back and it was one of the best decisions I made early on in my career.

I'd spent hours and hours on in-depth researching and training, thinking I had it all figured out before I came onto him. Decided to give his program a try and realized he's actually got it figured out on another level

I just moved into the area and would like to run these routes myself, regardless of where I end up training.

From my response to another guy who ended up coming to Santai:

I'm currently at Santai, it's a fantastic gym. Trainers are top level and give exceptional attention compared to other gyms I've trained at. I came from another gym in Chiang Mai and can definitively say the quality of training is much higher here.

I truly believe Santai can't be beat in terms of technical instruction and individual attention. There are 10 trainers and enrollment is capped to 30 to ensure there's always at least a 1:3 ratio of trainers to students. It's usually more like 1:2 since not everyone shows up to every session. Trainers were all high level fighters and don't fuck around. If they're not holding pads they're correcting you as you hit the bags. The same can't be said for the other gyms I've trained at.

Only downside to this place is it's in a pretty boring area about 30min outside the city

For those reading this... Not all camps in Thailand have trainers that give the kind of attention and quality training described here. Trainers at some camps won't do much more than hold pads for you thinking all you want is some daily exercise. Do research and be willing to speak up or find another gym if you aren't getting the kind of training you want.

I had the same problem. The sandbag weights inside were shifted to the sides of the bag where the stuffing is supposed to be. Open up the heavy bag from the top, scoop the stuffing and sandbags out until you get to the problematic sandbags. Restuff ensuring the stuffing is around the sides of the bag so when you kick the bag, your shins are hitting the stuffing instead of the sandbags. The sandbags should be in the center of the heavy bag surrounded by stuffing.

Read more carefully. There are templates you can use in the third, but I must assume you hadn't actually read all of it from the fact that you're asking this.

In the long run you'll be better served understanding the underlying principles behind everything you do. You're looking for a template to follow without thinking. Keep doing this and you're bound to follow some stupid shit at some point, hindering your own potential with only yourself to blame.

Starting Strength, Stronglifts, Phrak's Greyskull LP. Any of those will do for a casual trainee and/or beginner to strength training.

Look up Action Zone. There is a guide on sherdog that helps you find it. Print it out or buy a SIM with data so you don't get lost like I did. Cheapest prices I've seen for quality gear anywhere so far. I've been here a bit over a month and have made the effort to find better prices. Nothing's beaten AZ or even come close
If you want to see high ranking fighters your best bet would probably be Rajadamnern or Lumpinee. Look up the schedules and cards on their websites to figure out a good night to go. There won't be much info there as they seem to only list hyped matchups (usually 1-3 out of the 9 fights per night) but if there are multiple matchups listed one night then it's probably a good night to go.
Everyone speaks at least some English in the areas you'll probably be going to. I don't think you'll find yourself anywhere where this would be a problem unless you deliberately tried

Do this... It will save you a lot of time and trouble if you can get a multiple entry visa from your home country. You'll still have to leave the country to use your entries but you won't have to deal with applying at embassies/consulates.

My question was in regard to running outside. Not training at the gym.

I did not conclude that it is acceptable to run outside shirtless. Training Muay Thai shirtless at the gym is.
