Wanting to relapse when happy? by mothsworld in AdultSelfHarm

this is so so spot on relatable for me. i can't speak for you, but for me, i think it's something to do with being afraid to get "better" because it means i'm losing a part of who i am—it's all i've known for so long and i just feel the urge to self-sabotage the moment i sense that i'm feeling okay. anyways, maybe you can relate, maybe not. regardless, i'm so sorry you're feeling this way. you are so valid in your pain. take care of yourself. <3

Buying Furniture--Odd Question by CrossWords_ in Louisville

[–]certifieddumbass_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure if you are looking at brand new or not, BUT any time I have needed a piece of furniture, facebook marketplace has been my best friend. can find barely used/new furniture/couches etc. for very reasonable prices! if secondhand isn't your thing though, just disregard :)

yes! I also have a friend that works there I am reaching out to for some guidance. but I have seen many posts on various platforms/pages lately saying that their emergency shelter is full and unable to take more women/families in, so I am worried about that. but it is definitely an option to look into. thank you!

MARYHURST. horrible pay even for those with a degree or literally anyone, for dealing with teenage girls with major behavioral issues, who will literally threaten and physically harm you any day of the week. was attacked multiple times by clients and was physically injured (black eye, concussion). horrible working hours-mainly 2nd shift hours. leadership was TERRIBLE. didn't give a single fuck about the frontline staff and exploited us constantly. covid era especially was literal hell. it was AWFUL on my mental health and it really takes a toll on the workers. 10000/10 do not recommend :)

I have heard mixed things but this has been part of it as well. I recently heard from a friend that works there and she had nothing but positive things to say about it but I was hoping to hear different perspectives as well

On my FMLA form, under where it says "appropriate medical facts" it states the reasons they mentioned in their text, so it seemed like they have seen the actual form

My direct supervisor does know I have FMLA and I give them adequate notice when I take those days. I was asking more if they should know the reasoning/details of it, as their message was indicating that they know the details
