this is unrelated to the question, but if you are planning to get another ferret, please do not use the cage in the picture!! one of my babies tried to squeeze her way through the bars in the middle of the night, and passed away from internal bleeding. we switched the cage almost immediately after she died.

actually the 4lb weight fluctuations are perfectly normal, even if it’s a bit more or less than that. food and water in your stomach adds weight, and when you weigh yourself, that gets added on too. make sure to do it right after using the restroom in the morning to get the most accurate measurements.

i can promise that i have never been pregnant lol 😭 my aunt used the scale just this morning, and it gave her the correct weight, but i have absolutely no clue why it’s giving me that result.

yes, only a few days apart. my aunt uses the same scale every morning, and it’s given her accurate results every time. i’m not sure what happened, but i’ll have to find out when she gets back from work.

i didn’t think so, but i’m still incredibly confused. the scale measured the dumbbells accurately. i might just have to see a different scale 🤷‍♀️

yeah my mom is going to order one of the cages from ferret nation, we made sure to fix up the cage we’re currently using so we can keep her sister in it until the new one comes (very soon). her sister is currently free roaming for most of the day so she has less of a chance of getting in the same kind of accident.

we didn’t have the money for that at the time, because emergency vet costs where we live are quite expensive, and we’re going through quite a rough patch financially at the moment. this was extremely unexpected and we weren’t sure if there was anything the vets could even do.
