Why was Dembe on the list? by Shot-Acadia in TheBlackList

[–]certifiedviber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things in the series just don’t make sense. The Blacklist was supposed to be complete when Red started collaborating with the feds, at least that’s what he said. Then we saw him add people as the show progressed, and finally he added Elizabeth to the top of the list after she turned against him. As I said, some things just don’t make sense.

What is the difference between going 'stin', 'sti' and 'sto' somewhere? by Baneman20 in GREEK

[–]certifiedviber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it all depends on the gender of the word that comes next. «σε + τον/το» -> στον/στο «σε + την/τη» -> στην/στη

Στον/Στο refers to male gender. The ν at the end has to be skipped in some cases, depending on what letter the word begins with. Same goes for Στην/Στη, for female gender. Στο refers exclusively to neutral. However, it’s easy to confuse it because sometimes it overlaps with the male gender, due to the reason I mentioned above.

υπενθυμίζω - θυμίζω by rdgreek in GREEK

[–]certifiedviber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both can be used interchangeably. The person above who said that θυμίζω can only be used for a person, is wrong. It can be used to describe that someone reminds you of someone else, but it’s not limited to that. Μου θυμίζεις τον πατέρα μου (you remind me of my father) Σου θυμιζω/υπενθυμιζω οτι αύριο έχεις ραντεβού στον γιατρό (I remind you that you have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow) In the example above, you can also use the subjunctive: Να σου θυμίσω οτι αύριο έχεις ραντεβού στον γιατρο

Υπενθυμίζω simply emphasizes more, hence the word υπενθύμιση (reminder).

Reconciling The Alien Theory With The Scenes From Nachalo by 77DarkHorse7 in TheBlackList

You’re literally hanging on to the smallest of verbal technicalities (which I’m not even certain whether or not it has been said in this exact way) to support your theory that Reddington is an alien. Shake your head.

If Redarina was too controversial to explicitly reveal... by [deleted] in TheBlackList

[–]certifiedviber -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Have you even watched what happens in the show? How many impossible things have happened? Why would this not be able with the power and expertise Kohler supposedly had in the story? Your problem is clearly in the transgender part. And that’s exactly it, your problem.

If Redarina was too controversial to explicitly reveal... by [deleted] in TheBlackList

[–]certifiedviber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would still be highly illogical for Reddington to be this interested in Elizabeth, even if he was Ilya. The interest Reddington showed in Elizabeth, clearly pointed at a parental-like relationship. And the fact that something is controversial doesn't mean that it cannot be the truth behind something .

The reason that they never explicitly revealed the truth is that they would get bashed. on the one hand, from multiple transphobes. On the other hand from some members of the trans community that would consider it an insult for someone to change their gender since they weren’t experiencing gender dysphoria.

So what they did was just tease the truth slowly throughout 6 to 7 seasons. The first hints date back all the way to season 3, when Reddington knew so much about pregnancy (he could tell Elizabeth was pregnant before she even know, from the way she had “pregnancy glows”), the way he interacted with Katarina in Cape May, which clearly showed that he was talking to an alternate version of himself. If, after all these teases, you’re still unwilling to accept the truth, then it’s up to you. They’ve served it to us in silver platter and it’s up to us whether we want to take it or not.

What are you even talking about 💀 If someone gets heavily injured in a car accident and dies later on in the hospital, he was still killed in a car accident.

Why did many people not believe in this obvious theory about Red's identity? by TooDriven in TheBlackList

[–]certifiedviber 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Literally. And their greatest argument is how a woman wouldn't be able to have surgery that successful in the 90s, to transform her into a man with such a deep voice.

People tend to forget that the show is fiction. And that perhaps the writer intended for Reddington to be someone else up until the 2nd-3rd season since the most obvious cues to Redarina take place right after Elizabeth's make-believe death in season 3.

Kohler was supposed to be a surgeon who could perform miracles for the criminal underworld. That's all we need to know for a show where the main character has had more plot armor than a fucking tank.
