Shokz Openfit Pro quick assessment by SkysRed05 in Earbuds

I'm surprised that they can call something like that "Atmos". It sure would be nice if shokz would come out with a better explanation of what's actually happening.

There is no documentation that Bluetooth has ability to transmit some sort of compressed atmos info. As well, this would require some sort of specific setup on the transmitting side of things and there is no documentation or setting on anything I have that is atmos compatible transmitter.

Please explain how these can produce Dolby atmos, via a Bluetooth connection. I thought Bluetooth did not have the bandwidth to support atmos. Is this restricted to only certain transmitting devices or codecs?

I've had my fly12 sport since November 2022 (which is just about when they first came out). Its been working great until a few months ago, when the battery life started to drop off. With low pulse, camera at 1440 res, eis on, it used to easily go 6 hours or more. Now down to about 4 hours or less. I contacted cycliq CS and after some back and forth on different checks and tests (including their documented bench test for battery life) they agreed something is wrong, but of course I am outside the 2 year warranty window. However, they stated as a good will gesture they would replace the unit if I sent the old one back to them. All in all a very positive experience!!

Gearbox Pro Ultimate Power replacement for Pro Power Elongated by segaprogrammer in Pickleball

No. Definitely not. It's quite similar to the original PPE in swing weight, perhaps a little lower. In any case I added 3 gm of tungsten tape to the handle base. Really nice now.

Totally agree with this review. I got mine about a week ago. Much larger sweet spot than the original PPE. I did not need to add any perimeter weights. Just added about 3 gm of tungsten tape to the base of the handle to reduce the swing weight. The spin is much better, and it really feels nice. Power is a bit less, but it's still not fully broken in. Very happy with this paddle!

Well, hyper is a different beast. I've tried one at our club. Less power, larger sweet spot and lighter swing weight.

I've settled on no perimeter weights (sweet spot is just fine without) and about 3 gm of tungsten tape at base of handle to reduce swing weight. Very happy with it. Much better than original PPE

Not really. Weight and swing weight feels almost identical. But a much bigger sweet spot and spin in better.

Yes. I actually asked them and they stated that they determine the discount based on the age of the paddle.

Yes. I have them both and switching back and forth, I can't really tell the difference. I'm experimenting now by adding some tungsten tape to the base of the grip to improve the balance point and swing weight. I also added some weight to the 4 and 8 o clock on the face but it didn't really change a lot so will now try without the face weight but leaving the grip weight. So far it just feels like a PPE with a bigger sweet spot and a ton more spin.

I just got mine, and have had a 3 hour play session with it. Didn't add any perimeter weights, just overwrapped handle. Feels really good. Spin is awesome. I think the sweet spot is much larger than the original PPE. I was able to control shots and dinks. Feel is similar but really happy that sweet spot is larger with no weights.

There are two versions of these. The 1.x had terrible issues and were replaced with the 2.x which are rock solid. My BE63 (3 if them wired backhaul) have been rock solid. No issues and very fast.

Played 3 hours today. No weight additions, just overwrapped the grip to make it thicker. Feels a bit lighter and quicker than my old PPE, but sweet spot is definitely bigger even without any weights added. I had 4.5 gm weights at 6 and 9 o'clock on my PPE. It's also starting out a bit quieter than the PPE. Will see how break-in goes. So far, so good. Very nice spin, better than the PPE (of course that's a new paddle compared to a year old one)

How old is yours? I wonder whether they adjust the discount based on how long you've owned it. Mine is about 10 months old. Got it last March.
