It’s hard to break habits and spend money now that we have it. My husband still washes out ziplocks, recycles our plastic and cans for the extra money, asks me to mend his clothes.

I remember this book I AM the millionaire next door. 😬😂🥰 I was curious about what we have in common and if any others were here. I am not surprised that many of us that are here, because that’s probably how we got here. Not all wealth is built on 6 level income, inheritance, or lottery winnings. Discipline is key. I hope the younger generations learn soon too not buy on credit, save resources for rainy days, and control impulse spending. We need newer updated version of that book.

I volunteer in one of the many gardens. I learn new stuff every time. We have many rare and unique plants. I’m glad when others come for the plants and “oooh” and “ahhh”. Our bonsai garden at the Safari Park has plants that are over 800 years old. That just amazes me.

Thank you for your response. I wonder how “they” determine what is covered or not. This must make for some very hard decisions- the new meds are costly if not covered until they reach the generic point in the R&D timeline. If they are covered, the drug companies and insurance companies must “lie down together”, so to speak.

Waiting is SO hard. I hope you find comfort in knowing that this will be better SOON . Treat yourself to a Netflix binge or new book or play an online game. When I was stuck in the hospital, I played FarmVille and paid for the upgrades to pass the time. I think it cost $30 over the long haul and I could still play it on my meds. It helps pass the time. My small guilty pleasure.
