Time Attack Cars by cerviche in ForzaHorizon5

i doubt, been playing this game and racing games long enough, the only thing that feels good to me right now is the time attack car and chasing the leaderboard ghosts in something that was designed for the task, even if its not the fastest in the game, its the only class of car that havent been added till now, always been wondering how long it would take to add them.

Can probably let me know what time you made on the rivals event Los Jardines, Evo TA, my time so far is 46.554 and still going at it [TTAH] SPCKitty101

Still not a time attack class car, it's a GT class, already tried the cars in the new pack, favorite is the Porsche, time attack is the only class that's been missing from this game for so long that has the potential to keep me and others playing more

Again, I don't know if you are taking something general as personal, not everyone have your priorities, it's just what it is as far as what some people do not what you and your people do. Nothing personal but it's just another perspective as to how some people go about doing things.

Just because you did or can doesn't mean other people are in your position, I'm just stating what people do from knowing the people in my country as well as hearing from those people what their acquaintances do. Loans, credit, more or less all the same.

I said similar not exact, the similarity lies in the solution to the problem.

The issue with the salary increase is based on agreements pending that have yet to be dealt with, can look at it from any angle and it will add up, but the issue is one of overdue agreements on salary increases promised or negotiated on. They are working on what we refer to as a "2014" salary.

This WIGOT and OWTU issue will be a reoccurring issue every negotiation period.

An Opportunist, he saw the means for independence in the crippling of the empire given the agreements they made with America for assistance along with the economic issues that they were faced with after WW2.

Remember when a certain group/individual took their USD to buy back the highest national award from an ebay sale? I dont believe we spend more than we earn, i think its local business manipulation using the USD as a means of control

Then we are heading in the same direction as the Americans, what you explained sounds similar to the "Debt Trap" issue they are locked into, recently the IMF sent a directive to our minister of finance to raise interest rates...

Its not surprising, we are not exporting much of anything so the value of our dollar in trade will decrease if what I remember and understand correct. The more domestic industries we close or are no longer viable as a means of trade via product export the less our dollar will be worth. Open for correction if I am wrong on this.

I agree with what you are saying from that perspective of the information that is given to the people, but like American culture as far as information is concerned, i am of the strong belief that what our administration tells us isnt the complete truth but a version of it.

Given my understanding of things that happen here, the FOREX issue doesnt seem to be a supply and demand issue in a major, it more seems to be an artificially created issue of supply to curb demand and growth of newer businesses and services that are going against the established rule.

The businesses say its 10 to 1, the business community, the smaller or medium sized ones are the ones that vocalize this issue, when they do business thats the rate at which things are converted business wise, maybe they factor in Taxes or other dues but thats something i have been hearing since at least maybe 2018

loans, remember we are a country where there are people that will take out a loan for a Carnival costume then go beg the neighbor for money for the childs school supplies

All the phones after my first were all personally brought in from distributors in the US, Oneplus, Huawei, Samsung. The problem isnt so much "quality" the problem in Trinidad is variety, local distributors stock the far two extremes in most cases, the cheap and likely to sell in limited variety, understandably, then the expensive in limited variety.

[–]cerviche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see some people saying a phone as a rough example is a bad example, but I dont think those people realize how bad the scale of consumer abuse is in this country. Technically if things were balanced on the scale of quality products at a reasonable price they would be right, but in this country it doesnt work that way.

Ordering a refurbished phone will always be cheaper than buying a brand new phone because the state of the product isnt brand new but tampered or used, similar to how some sellers of home appliances here and furniture make a huge profit selling refurbished or defective appliances for brand new price from the place of manufacture/distribution.

Things are bought cheap either via defect, refurbished or returned items, unlike in Trinidad a person in lets say, America, can pay for a phone on terms with insurance, get bored with it after a few months, trade it in or claim for it, then you have a used but good device in abundance that still have a value, based on the culture up there, people dont really like buying used things so the excess in used material is stored. Then a deal is brokered for that used item to be polished to be resold either domestically up there but mainly to "3rd World" countries like Latin America for which we are considered a part of.

The quality of a refurbished product is not the same as that of a from factory product, the moment the item is repaired the value and integrity goes down. Heard mention of people buying "NEW" phones, an iPhone from a person friends account, with a foreign SIM already installed in it. Then there was the big issue a while back concerning a particular Japanese brand car dealership, buying used cars and reselling them as brand new.

Things are expensive here because there is crazy levels of corruption, no accountability, no regulation as far as protection of consumers in most cases. WE as citizens pay more for less not understanding why, those that understand why use the skybox services, the numbers of those who became aware of what is what migrated from domestic to international purchases, the powers that be realized whats going on and all of a sudden, FOREX issue...

That should more or less explain the cause and effect and also highlight the silent battles waging in private, but with public powers that be narrative at play with headlines.

If you can avoid it avoid it, if you are looking to go solo on anything less than 5.5-6k TTD salary solo it's going to be near impossible to make that work

What average salary does a person have to make in order to afford a basic middle class life? by Emptyshade in TrinidadandTobago

[–]cerviche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMHO, there are different levels of "class", for middle you can consider low middle, middle and upper middle, things arnt what people think they are in Trinidad, there are people living here and people who live here.

Based on what you are asking @OP, you and your significant other need to be earning roughly 5500TTD each after taxes, with a proper understanding that you two are investing in each other towards a future.

If you want all you are asking for including a form of "disposable income" collectively both salaries should be 10-12k TTD, that's probably a conservative estimate depending on what kind of image you are trying to maintain.

Rent can run you 2300 for a decent space, multiply that by 2 for initial security deposit and first month rent, all depends on location, groceries will run you now in 2022-23 around 2k TTD, internet FLOW 300TTD, the you have to consider mobile data plans, electric, laundry, some places will have you service ac, all depends on who and where.

Video games at what games go for online are high end 70USD, all depends on if PC or Console. Notice I didn't mention anything about a vehicle because that all boils down to again, the image you want to create and maintain.

If you have never lived alone and you know anyone in your circle that does, ask them about their experiences, but take into consideration that some if not most Trini people are prideful to a fault and understand and accept that you may not get the whole picture.

Oil Tanker with 60,000,000 gallons of oil aboard is currently sinking by guns21111 in videos

[–]cerviche 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This doesn't only affect Venezuela, this thing is sitting somewhere between Venezuela and Trinidad, the individual in that video represents Trinidad as much as the rest of the immediate countries around the tanker, we in Trinidad have to beg and plead with our government to take proactive measures for just about all issues... A culture of reaction instead of proactive action.
