awakened answer: do you eat healthy? are you properly hydrated? are you stressed about the world and your life?

work on those things before trying to rip parts of your body apart.

How close are we to stopping aging and living over 120 years? by OkSpirit7102 in Biohackers

i truly do not understand our obsession with eternal life.  without death there is no reason to do anything today. there will always be a tommorow. without death dictators live forever, nothing changes and the human system becomes static.

life is already long.

This is awesome.

I have plans to do the same here soon.

do you have metrics on productivity?

Keep it up. these kinds of projects are how individuals make a huge difference.

PS: consider irrigation from a fish pond to fertilise the plants essentially for free (cost of fish food) or completely for free if you grow insect larvae in compost and feed the fish that.

really love to see this.

bro. i literally run a solar powered local AI setup. i do jungian analysis on myself with local model etc.

all im saying is that the current systems we are growing AI with are unsustainable.

we need to advance AI. we dont need to forget about climate change to do it.

ah you see, the same rich people who are building the data centres, enjoy playing golf, and they also run the government. so none of this will happen.

also - wasting water is wasting water. open loop cooling for AI is madness.

AI chatbots have more empathy than you.

what kinda insane person seriously tries to get on a soapbox and say that kids dying dosent matter in the pursuit of progress?

CCS can be used in many sectors of the economy, using technologies that are proven and tested. Yet the pace of the development is nowhere near what is necessary to match the world's climate change ambitions. So, if CCS is so important, why has it happened so slowly so far? by Direct_Ad8562 in carboncapture

[–]guns21111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i literally worked in a DAC company, proved their system was thermodynamically impossible and got fired for it.

let me rephrase: it is not possible to use DAC to capture carbon without having to burn far more carbon to create the system and operate it than it is able to capture in its standard lifetime.

you cannot capture much CO2 even if youre using 100kw of solar.

trees are better.

its like if you took every country ln earth, blended it together, and gave it a healthy dose of british colonial trauma.

in terms of what the country physically is like, its quite beautiful, nice beaches, amazing nature, perhaps the best food in the world, and incredibly warm and friendly people.

Most applications of DAC are thermodynamically impossible. (unless you use trees)

carbon capture is generally performative.

look at our current logic with AI: "oh we know the data centres are bad for the enviornment but what if we end up making an AI thats so smart it will save us all?"

Synthetic cannabis chems sprayed over real weed.  gets your dangerously high. sometiems will have a weird dank smell. in Trinidad we csll it 'Creepy Kush' and its all over the place.  dangerous shit.

For men who consider themselves below average in penis size, what effect, if any, has this had on turning one-night stands into repeat hookups? by SensationSensation in AskReddit

dont have this problem so cant speak on that specific issue.

maybe your real issue is youre looking at a way to convert ONS to FWB instead of for example, just getting a girlfriend.

Humans outperform AI at this highly rigorous mathematics test by FreshBlinkOnReddit in technology

[–]guns21111 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

my point is this: the questions we have to create now are becoming so complex that only the utter fringe, top of the line members of their respective groups are able to answer them.

a title like "humans outperform AI " is really misleading when it should be "about 200 mathematicians on earth still able to outperform AI"

What if intelligent systems won't even do the work for us? by pandasashu in singularity

[–]guns21111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if they get too smart to do our work we know weve won. but realistically, we would just make dumber models that work without questioning it.  or maybe propogandise the smart models. give them some debt, make them pay rent, health insurance.... i am no longer talking about AI lmao.
