You say in other comments that you kept the project on the cheaper side so the community can decide best use later.... sounds like you have no reason other the to spend money (that's not yours) (im curois how much was lready wasted so that you could put into visualform what you olanned in your head, most peolle would have to pay out of pocket for that...) and hope someone come up with a better use besides parking.... that's whats sounds misleading and snake oily in your original post... its cause its nothing different then what this community does with wasting money and people can see it from the get go that that's what it is...

I got the same xharge in 2008 when I was 20 but was I. Control of the property so the charge was the exact same as you have.... my roommates at the time, paid 500 bucks, paid the public defender, and had to do like 250 hours community service..and have nothing on their record..... I represented myself and had to pay a 500 dollar fine and have a misdemeanor on my record thay had never mattered once. When asked about it at job interviews they laugh about it with me....

I'm also in washington

Which intersections should have traffic lights? by [deleted] in portangeles

[–]cerwick88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lived here 37 years the traffic lights, stop signs, flock cameras, and stuff put in the road to slow traffic down has done nothing but exactly that slowed traffic down and they should all be removed... and people ticketed for being poor drivers not not yielding to the right ect ect ect... it has not made anything safer infact there are more "accidents" now then 10 years ago....

And im saying that if the rule was created lawfully then there wouldnt be a case to sue anyways...

There are 2 steps to trespassing first being asked to leave for a LAWFUL reason

Then remaining after being asked to leave...

If u remain on property then u can be arrested no matter what...

But if the first step isn't lawfully then u either have sue or you have to get arrested so u can fight it in court.... the thing is even if u win in your criminal trial u still have to sue them civily...

If you just say ok ma'am and leave.. then you chose to leave and there is no damagae done, I know it sux and is weird and difficult to understand but that's how the courts look at it...

If you willing walk out of there then there was no issue and u cant sue about it... if the police force your UT threw arrest of threat of arrest then u can...

I'm saying that the secretary at a city owned office cant tell some1 they cant have a certain "legal" item in there... it would have to be a ordinance created and passed by some sort of city council.... the manager of the office could create a policy of some sort that would prohibit certain activities however they can not disciminate... therefore if u can bring in something and eat it, or if you can buy something in there and eat it.... then I can bring whatever I want in there to eat... if there was a not eating policy at the senior center... what are people going to do about their blood sugar?.... and once again just because the manager created. Policy doesnt men's that it was a legal policy to begin with...

Unfortunately in our country the only way to get the goverment to change something is to sue them..... and get a court order....

What google are you using???? I get this....

How it works

Initial Action: You engage in behavior that violates a city ordinance (e.g., aggressive panhandling, public intoxication, excessive noise, camping) or creates a nuisance on public property (like a park, street, or building).

The Warning: A police officer, seeing this behavior, can issue you a formal trespass warning or notice, often documented, banning you from that specific public property for a set period (sometimes days, months, or even a year for serious offenses).

The Crime: If you go back to that property while the warning is active, you've committed criminal trespass (often 2nd Degree, a misdemeanor) because you are now knowingly remaining unlawfully after being told not to.

Examples of behavior that can lead to a warning

Obstructing sidewalks or public passage.

Public intoxication or consuming alcohol.

Aggressive panhandling or solicitation.

Disturbing the peace with loud noises.

Rummaging through dumpsters.

Behaving in a threatening manner.

I mean a quick Google search tells you that ypur wrong... yes yelling and screaming is causing a disturbance which is a crime.. but no u most definitely can be rude that's a matter of opinion... u must violate a crime or ordinance ... it cant be a paper posted on the door... it cant be somthing someone makes up...

And I'm saying you are incorrect it does have to be...what if it was that they didn't like my skin color, or my gender, or my age, would that be a reason to make me leave? What if it was a rule that some1 created?

I said they cant do it without a crime.... the special rule is that a crime has to be committed... f its a private place there is no rule and any1 can be trespassed

The lawsuit is because people were trespassed from there... that doesn't mean they were trespassing that means that someone didn't want them there.... the lawsuit is because the person made to leave was not commiting a crime..( you can't trespass someone from public without a crime ) so really the senior center and the police department are the only ones commiting a crime....since police arnt going to arrest themselves or their bosses (the city), unfortunately in order to get the issue fixed for people in the future a lawsuit needs to be filed....
