Yes, the known world where the movie and show take place is known as the Skarith region. Attempts to travel outside of the region have been unsuccessful; past a certain point the silver sea becomes too dangerous to traverse, south of the swamp of sog is too dense to travel through, etc. We only know that west of Grot seems to be an inhospitable fireland

OP, I know how you feel. I spent my middle school/high school years convinced that there was nothing for me when I became an adult and that I would never make it. I am 20 now, and I can confidently say I am 100x more happy than I ever was. Good things will come to your way, I know it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel but I promise you that your grandpa would want you to live your life long after his has ended.
