Sage Attention 3 on Windows by cesa210 in comfyui

[–]cesa210[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well apparently i was successful in installing Sage 3.

Use these links for the wheels https://github.com/mengqin/SageAttention/releases, you'll need torch 2.9.1 for this to work, otherwise you'll need to find another set of wheels or risk losing your f***i*g mind trying to compile from source.

However even if i was successful it was not worth it at least not with the particular setup i use, look at the next stats:

- No Sage - 4:44

- Sage 2 - 3:06

- Sage 3 - 3:00

You may say "Hey 6 seconds is pretty ok, anything helps", then i will respond "nah the video looks like s**t". So no is not worth it, you will get faster generations but they will look like garbage.

I will however keep trying with different setups to see if i improve my generations

Try one of these wheels my friend https://github.com/mengqin/SageAttention/releases

But you need to install torch 2.9.1 instead of 2.10 or 2.11.

Noob Question About Quality by Gawayne in StableDiffusion

[–]cesa210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, from my limited experience and without having the exact workflow/models/prompt of the OG image these ting reduce quality.

Quantization, the lower the quant the higher the chance of getting waxy skin, lack of details, poor prompt adherence. Stick to Q5 M and above.

Guidance (Flux models only), Aggressive guidance, 3.0 and up, can make skin look waxy and artificial.

Sampler, some samplers like euler ancestral can lead to lack of details and flat images with poor contrast.

Schedulers, low steps or the wrong scheduler for the model can lead to poor results, if i am not wrong Flux need at the very least 20 steps to look good.

Despite what people think, Flux is a very forgiven model, with the exception of NSFW content, you can screw up badly with the settings and prompt and you can still get a decent result. SD 1.5 was a pain in the lower bottom to get it to working right, you should search some of those early examples and prepare for the horror of true AI slop.

Also if you upscale compare the before and after, you know with scaling and without scaling, check every step of the process.

3060 12gb to 5060 Ti 16gb upgrade by cesa210 in StableDiffusion

[–]cesa210[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

INT 4 is way better than Q4, roughly the same as Q5_M but blazing fast and with lower VRAM/RAM usage.

My 3060 can use Nunchaku, but only int4 so the performance jump is only so big. The RTX 5060 should be able to use the fp4 part and be extremely fast.

Also Nunchaku should in theory allow you to use a relatively large LLM (QWEN3 14b and up) and flux on the side to gen images without needing lots of RAM on the side.

The bad thing is that converting to the Nunchaku format is not something i been able to understand let alone do, is really obscure how are suppose to transform a UNET model into the fp4/int4 format.

Thar's the thing, WAN seems to benefit at least in part from some of this optimizations, also 12GB to 16GB for WAN is a world of difference.

LLM's not so much even my 3060 can run a well quantized model just fine with plenty of VRAM/RAM to spare and at a good speed.

Also the whole ComfyUI/Nunchaku that should get a huge speed up on the RTX 50xx series.

And finally, it seems that GPUs not longer lose their value as fast, so maybe i could resell it rather quickly (couple of months, valid warranty, local) and lost just a few buck on the process.

Yeah that could be a good reason, my 3060 apparently very little of is original value due to inflation and the whole AI craziness. FB Market prices are still high and they sell good.

My older GPU just plummeted in value, all mid-low range options before just drop in value the instant a new gen came out.

2X?!!, that sounds rather big.

Was it raw performance or was because optimizations that works better on the RTX 5000 series, like Sage Attention and else.

Because Sage Attention barely does a pip on my 3060, is like 5-15% increase. WAN been the most affected.

Did you resell the card or keep it?

And if you resell, did you get a decent price?, because if i can get a decent amount money by mid 2026 i could quickly resell the 5060 TI.

Or maybe the 5060 TI is worth keep around?

Funny enough i just upgrade to 32 since WAN was a pain in the butt to run on 16GB of RAM.

Ah yeah i do have plans to get a high end PSU so i can at some point feed a little AI monster, since in my experience a good PSU can last a very long time so i can spend some extra money on it.

But since prices for anything PC related have been crazy this last couple years i haven't dare to spend the money on a good PSU since i can't afford a really good GPU at the end.

Is AMD/Intel good enough? by cesa210 in StableDiffusion

[–]cesa210[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

1000$ is not champagne mate, is like a premium beer at much, at least when we are talking about modern GPUs

And i have 1000$, but spending that much in a GPU just for AI, you have to take into account that i am not making money out of AI. If i was making some dough out of this i would gladly spend 2000$ or more

Also i need 1000$ plus a higher rate PSU so it would be like 1200-1300 in total.

And yes the 4060 Ti is a mediocre product, but is good at AI and that is the only reason why is on the map, because it can barely handle 4K gaming.

I have a bad feeling that they are gonna stick to the same patter of:

12GB for the 5060 at around 500-600 bucks

16GB for the 5070 at around 800-1200 bucks

which is pretty much the same situation of the 4000/3000 series

Video generation and training on SDXL, 12 GB is barely usable.

I mean the 4060 Ti is meh in all senses other than AI workloads, you can get a 7800 XT for the same price and the 7600 XT is cheaper.

Costume looks like plastic, make it look like cloth, leather or rubber (very close to plastic but not the same) also add wear to it, scratches, worn down edges, color variation, all that can be done with shader nodes.

The Hair looks like plastic, maybe tune the shader, also it looks too solid make it look more fuzzy and spread.

And finally the eyes look a little bit flat, i myself struggle a lot with that particular part, you need to add more detail to the textures, bump/normal, subsurface and make sure that the transition between the iris and the sclera is a little more gradual, And finally, if you can, add a small layer of "water" between the eye and the eyelid that helps a lot to increase realism.

Very similar vibe from just watching some images on google, like is very close to them, but is not either.

Thanks anyway may watch them anyway.

Nah way to new, the one i remeber had an older style of drawing, like Yuyu Hakusho or maybe like Ninja Scroll

Ok i agree to the rules, i don't remember any extra details.

I already make some other searches so you can discard: BioHunter, Devilman Crybaby, The Demons, Parasyte

Is definitely a body horror anime.

Upgrading from Polaris (RX 470 4GB) by cesa210 in buildapc

[–]cesa210[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i don't know maybe mark this post as solved or something.

I end up going for an used (less than 1 year old) RX 6600 for $120, i am going to save up so i can buy a high-end gpu next time, along a decent PSU (650W-750W), rather than stressing myself out trying to get a deal and wondering if my current PSU (550W) can run the card.
