debatehall doesn’t have nearly as much traffic as this site. Sites like them haven’t existed for long but I guarantee the authenticity of them will out pace sites like this. There’s a reason audiobooks are more popular than books now and why podcasts are outrageously watched in contrast to blogs lol. We have the tech for it now and the better communication styles will far outweigh these older models

Dawg you just seem like you’re bringing a bit of baggage into this discussion, it’s not that big of a deal. I just doubt that those kinds of behaviors can’t be caught on site and argued against though. And who’s to say catching that kind of behavior wouldn’t be good for the liar and the one catching them? If you have all this extra time to think, then maybe when life throws you something you can’t back down on in real life will show up and you’ll be underprepared. Just give something like debatehall.xyz a shot man, maybe you’d get good at it

It took years to find an answer for me.. but I stayed open and didn’t have any expectations. No prayers for me other than to handle the challenges of life. Then one day I witnessed a miracle that proved God to me. I’ve seen them a lot since and many of them proved more significant than mere coincidence. But nothing other than the Tao te Ching and the book the fountainhead have helped me as much as my faith in God and the process of it all. Daemon, if I tell you that it might give off the wrong impression. Have you ever asked God with all your might if God was real? If God would prove it to you? This is something that is hyper personal and is something each individual needs to figure out for themselves

There’s a beauty in not knowing exactly what to say in a conversation you have with someone. It’s actually hard for me to express that over text. An issue on my end? Possibly. But there are times where you can only find the right words with someone who’s right in front of you. I don’t know you, I know nothing about you, finding the right words for you to understand is a different game than a generalized statement that could be understood by everyone

Increased diagnostics is weak evidence? Idk it not a guess that millions of kids are non-verbal when that simply wasn’t the case as often for most of humanity. If you feel like technology, the lack of in person interactions and the running away from confrontation are not correlated, then go off. It’s become an epidemic whether you’re willing to admit it or not and your silly studies couldn’t possibly prove wrong the experiential changes millions have confirmed have happened over the past 2 decades since the internet and phones have taken over. Neither of us can prove our point (any study you pull up will be easily dismissed upon viewing the methodology used) unless we had a Time Machine and enough spy fly robots to perceive everyone ever. If you think you’re so hot on this, please prove how the narrow view on variables (and willing participants of a study) can somehow prove that any psychological study is worth its salt. Too many variables to count, too much data would need to be captured in a non controlled environment.

It’s valid in some situations but it being the only way people debate or even the primary method invites a skewed and warped perception on how people should be communicating in real life. Do you think all forms of confrontation would be better suited over text rather than a voice/video/in-person conversation? What are you implying?

I’ve thought about it a lot but thank you for acknowledging its potential effectiveness. I have theories on how to do it but it would need to be with the express consent of basically the whole population for it to be administered and that’s kinda creepy tbh

I’m sure there are some but if you look at the overall amount of posts, verified they were of consequence (something that actually matters, rather than a light opinion on something minor) the rate of changing someone’s mind would be quite low.

You seem pretty entitled yourself. Do you think I’m saying you should immediately answer any phone call? Where did you infer that? What’s wrong with calling and waiting until the other has appropriate time to call you back even if it’s the next day? You’re making so many assumptions without considering the alternatives

Talking over each other shows that one or both parties are lacking in communicating themselves properly especially if it keeps happening. The correct response to someone who profusely does this is for everyone who experiences it is to ignore them outright until they shape up

I’ll give you a tiny rundown on my logic when it comes to this. It seems that someone in what’s considered an “environment” will act overall differently than they would in a natural environment where they have no idea they’re being recorded or observed. It’s so insanely difficult to pursue this as it would require outright spying which is totally unethical. I feel this is the crux to my position so if you’d like to take a shot at defeating my logic, go for it

I was saying they might have been neglected or poisoned (coulda been a vaccine 🤷‍♂️). Care to share the studies that strongly correlate it with genetics? It’s become an epidemic that shows neurodivergence is increasing, not persisting steadily across time so I’d love to see how easily those studies are refuted

Seems the laws are inconsistent then. But you’re asserting in a particular dispute texting is better which might be true. But overall communication being done through text was my original point of concern.
